height= Limas Sweed injured his wrist in yesterday's scrimmage after falling awkwardly to the ground. According to Chip Brown of the Dallas Morning News, Sweed will miss at least 3 weeks including the opener against Arkansas State.

Seriously? We're playing Arkansas St?

I think the more pressing issue for us as fans prior to this game is one of nomenclature, at least if you plan on rooting in any semi-politically correct way and are, like myself, sensitive to the plight of historically marginalized groups.

Taking into account local culture, University history and traditions, and the accomplishments of the most successful athletic squad on campus, the women’s bowling team, it’s obvious that the only logical alternative to the current offensive mascot is, without question, The Red Heifers. The built in appeal for anyone with a working knowledge of Rabbinic law and any subsequent expansion of the fanbase is merely a bonus.
