They must have been thinking Michael and not realized he had graduated. Must have.

I am shocked that Killebrew and Bobino were not even listed as Honorable Mention. They have 72 consecutive starts and shit.

by BRAGGonUT on Nov 27, 2007 3:49 PM CST reply actions

Killebrew, Bobino, and Derry were given lifetime achievement awards for the blood they have shed for the program.

Marcus G. is a good tackler (rare on our defense)

by Mr. Know it All on Nov 27, 2007 3:56 PM CST reply actions

Marcus freed up the Aggie receiver for the 60+ yard t.d. by pummelling his fellow defensive back. He had his head down, arms in, and rammed the nearest body. Just happened that the body was on his team. He is not a good tackler.

“Marcus freed up the SLOWEST RECEIVER IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL for the 60+ yard t.d. by pummelling his fellow defensive back.”

FIFY.

Thanks Marcus!

His brother did the same thing at Nebraska last year. It’s genetic.

“Honorable Mention”

The wussification of America continues. Everyone gets a trophy.

Griffin over William Moore is completely inexplicable. It can’t be explicated.

by vvn8bs on Nov 27, 2007 5:08 PM CST reply actions

Yep. Moore leads the league in picks and he has come up clutch in several games.

Scipio,

I need a good laugh. Where is your A&M Post Mortem?

I’m not sure I’m capable of writing it. At the end of the day, I’m still a dyed-in-the-wool Texas fan and writing this stuff can be cathartic, but it sucks.

Pretty much all of the criticisms I’ve raised about this program were borne out in the game; you can read all of the season’s post-mortem’s and there you go.

I’m right there with you. This has easily been the most frustrating season to date of the MB era. The Personnel Decisions were downright mindboggling. Does anyone in their right mind think that Akina had the absolute say on who played? Regardless, Akina was a complete failure, but I believe our defensive philosophy was a reflection of our head coach. We couldn’t rush the passer despite the abundance of talent along the d-line, we don’t need to rehash the LB situation, and our DB play was awful.

Is there any way you guys can set up an easily viewable archive (by month?) that includes every column that has been posted?

by NVHorn on Nov 27, 2007 10:21 PM CST reply actions

No doubt we will in the future. In the meanwhile, if you want to follow a particular author, you can use the RSS/archive function to do so.

“First team players for Texas were…and Marcus Griffin (?!).”

Un-freakin-believable.

Notice that all three QBs are Texas high school kids we didn’t recruit.

Scott Derry…..must be the Big XII scholastic team selection.

Are you sure Mangino won Coach of the year?

I thought we were voting for Fattest Motherfucker I’ve Ever Tried To Hug.

marcus G tries to tackle (rare on this team)

by Mr. Know it All on Nov 28, 2007 8:45 AM CST reply actions

I am not saying he should be on the team but the coaches realize that he at least tries to tackle the Train

That’s what you get for eating your Oxford Dictionary as a midnight snack, which you subsequently turned into a bowel moving pulp friction.

Public service announcement: I was watching Wilco on some HD channel, and afterwards Jewel came on. For a couple of reasons, I seem to be unable to focus on her snaggletooth. Great googly-moogly.
