When’s the last time North Carolina cracked the top 25 of anyone’s football poll?

Can’t argue with USC and Oklahoma at the top.
I still think that either UGA or LSU should be the highest ranked SEC team. I don’t see how Florida has earned that spot, they are all hype at this point imo.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Mizzou is overvalued at this point, but I also think they will be 6-0 when they travel to Austin. So they will certainly be top 5 at least until then.
The polls are still so arbitrary at this point. Once you get past the first 5 or 6 teams, you could almost scramble the rest of them together and draw names for the rankings.

Florida has a better win than both LSU and Georgia at this point. LSU’s QB play will get them at some point.
Missouri just doesn’t have anyone on their schedule that should scare them. I think we will be favored over them since we are at home, but that is a bad match-up for our secondary. If we win, it will be a shootout.
When I look at teams 6-10, they all seem overrated to me, but I damn sure can’t find 10 teams I like more. You can’t be overrated if that is the case.
Here is my personal vote which is incorporated into the BC vote:
1 Southern Cal
2 Oklahoma
3 Missouri
4 Florida
5 Georgia
6 LSU
7 Texas
8 Texas Tech
9 Alabama
10 Ohio State
11 Penn State
12 Wisconsin
13 South Florida
14 Brigham Young
15 Auburn
16 Oregon
17 Utah
18 Wake Forest
19 East Carolina
20 West Virginia
21 Kansas
22 Florida State
23 Illinois
24 Fresno State
25 North Carolina

Florida beating a mediocre at best Miami team is not my idea of a quality win. I would rate Miami and South Carolina neck and neck. No matter though, this will all sort itself out when UGA, UF, and LSU all play each other later on.

I’m like Bragg in that after you get past the Fab Five you can throw a blanket over the next 5-10 teams.

Brigham Young should be in the top 10. They salted the earth against UCLA.

Don’t they have a rule against polygamist groups being in the top 10 in football. Maybe the top 10 in other categories but, come on, football?

yeah its pretty respectable up in Utah when your linebacker has as many tackles in a game as he does wives.
