Clemson to possibly win 10 games in future
Maybe even live up to their preseason ranking at some point.

After firing the embattled coach, the AD said “Tommy has our full support. We do not assess coaches during the season and will wait to until after the season to assess the situation.”

We’ve always been big Tommy Bowden supporters here at BC.

As I understand it, the AD and regents actually gave him a 5% raise in the same meeting he was canned.

10 wins? I doubt it. Not without cheating. The only time period they won 10 was with some pretty solid “paid help.” More games now, so maybe, but I’d take the under.
Clemson has finished in the final AP Poll 23 times since 1936. 4 of those were in the past 10 years, with Tommy Coaching.
They haven’t finished in the top 10 since 1990, and haven’t finished in the top 10 with a roster not filled with NCAA violations since…well…ever. 5 top 10 finishes total, all of which were between 1978-1990.
The previous coach, Tommy West, ended up being fired after a 3-8 season (following 8-4, 7-5, and 7-5) and is now head coach at Memphis.
Before Tommy? Ken Hatfield, who left for Rice following an 8-3 season. Yup. Rice.
Ken was essentially brought in because he was honest. They needed honesty after allowing Danny Ford and Charlie Pell to “guide” the Tigers through a 13-year period filled with championships and NCAA violations. Ford moved on to Arkansas, who thought he’d bring their ethical standards up a notch.
Clemson hasn’t won a conference championship since Hatfield in 1991.
Even with Bowden Sr working towards a retirement home, FSU, BC, VT, GT, Miami, and UNC all have higher profiles than Clemson, and they’re located in a state where they fall a distant second to South Carolina.
I think that would be a reasonably bad choice for Muschamp—and that if the defense plays well over the next few games, he’ll have better options.

Wow. Never seen a coach ripped up so badly by his former players soon after dismissal before. Bowden was clearly a very popular figure in the locker room.

That happened to me once at a local TV station. Seriously.

Its a power grab at this point. Harper is happy because Bowden benched his non productive ass.
