OSU and Tech are probably 5-7 slots higher than they should be, Missouri that number too low. But that’s why they play the games.

Nice to see the conference so well represented.

When you let the other team (I know UT is good, but are we that good? Are we NFL good?) score on all its first five drives, with most of them being the 80 yard variety or longer, how can you say that #16 is too low? If anything, it is too high if you really want to rank teams according to their actual strengths and not the hot air and piss poor schedules the traditional rankings are so full of.

There is a strong chance Penn State goes down at OSU. If OSU can come up with any sort of O, which I think they can, then they will beat Penn State. Doubtful if Penn will be able to put up a lot of points in Columbus, not against the best and the only athletic D in the B10.

Don’t know if the schedule will expose it, but OU seems like they are running out of gas towards the end of the season, like they typically do lately. Seems as if Stoops’ average recruiting recently is finally catching up to OU. They seem to be wearing down as the season is going along, and they do not seem to have the depth or overall talent to offset the grind of the season.

OU at #4 is too high. I doubt if they are even an actual top 10 team. Without the B12 refs letting OU’s line hold, Bradford would end up as so much road kill, if OU ever faced an athletic front 7. And their D seems to get worn out at the tail end of games (lack of depth), lacks a true pass rush, and can’t seem to stop any O that can perform a pitch and catch in the middle of their D.

And we are number 1 in the BCS, with the Sooners at 4 and Okie State at 6 and Tech at 8. We are going to earn this one.

I think Ok State is better than they are being given credit for (same might be said for Kansas), and I think TT is worse that they are being given credit for.

The 26 voters who voted Alabama last week all flipped their #1 vote to us. Nice.

Any way to determine which three coaches Associate SIDs voted someone else #1?

Tech hasn’t looked like a top 10 team the last 2 weeks. The rumors of their defense have been greatly exaggerated.

Yeah, your numbers would put Missouri ahead of Oklahoma State. That wouldn’t make sense right now.

“I think Ok State is better than they are being given credit for (same might be said for Kansas), and I think TT is worse that they are being given credit for.”

I almost agree with that. I think Okie St is about where they deserve to be given what they’ve done so far this year, and Tech is overrated. Okie St has a chance to prove they belong this Saturday.

Tech’s defense is still too porous to merit a top ten ranking.

I think OSU is better than Tech – Tech’s defense looked horrible yesterday. We scored more points on them in the first half than we scored on Army in the whole game. Yeah, Army. Chew on that a little while….

wow. just saw on ESPN that tech has only given up 1 sack all season. that’s impressive even if dumping the ball off in 1.8 seconds on each snap.
