Overheard on the Longhorn internets
"Gideon also missed the tackle on Herron's TD run, but I really wonder whether the defensive coaches instructed the players to let them score the TD. Because with the little amount of time left on the clock, if Gideon makes that tackle, then we lose the Fiesta Bowl. "Missing" that tackle was the only thing that allowed us the time to come back and win it."

They told him to drop the INT against Tech too. They knew we didn’t stand a chance against the mighty Tebow.

I now prefer interwebs to internets.
And yeah, why wouldn’t Muschamp instruct BG to dive the wrong way on that TD run?

Obviously, Blake was employing the “mirror” technique of DB coverage, as seen here in game films.

Actually that was my call, not the defensive coaches.

Blake just used the same strategy Tyson King used on that 3rd and long option play by Notre Dame. It would have worked perfectly then as well if Mackovic hadn’t fucked up on offense.

As soon as I finish returning this interception against Baylor, I will weigh in on this subject.

My mullet would still have been in position to make the tackle.
