Stoops to Brown: "Kiss My Trophy"
The boys up in Norman are having a good time watching the Texas fan base get all stirred up over an * as well as some pay raises
But Bob Stoops just says it's no big deal because I know where the trophy is.

Meanwhile, the SEC just laughs and laughs and laughs at our bullshit.

Jeebus and Rice. Are we still talking about this?
1) Texas either needs to go balls out and claim the title outright (the Muschamp way), or take the lateral way out and claim it was a motivational tool (the Davis way). Everyone here should know which way garners my respect and admiration.
2) The bonuses weren’t nearly enough. Muschamp spends that much on his semi-monthly trips to Vegas for hookers and speed. Scipio spends that much every year building up his collection of Albert Camus memorabilia.

We’ve got nothing on the SEC in terms of petty drama, I assure you.

Petty drama? In the SEC? I think you saying that is an infraction. I’m telling the NCAA.

Nate’s right. I’ve never seen so many Camus Pez dispensers.
Camus was once asked by his friend Charles Poncet which he preferred, football or the theatre. Camus is said to have replied, “Football, without hesitation.”

I’m hearing that Sooners are already designing T-shirts about this for the upcoming season.

Duly noted in Austin.

Yes, Parlin, it’s futbol. I still thought it was funny.

Anytime you can get Scipio, Camus, and Pez together, it’s funny.

Hope they get a bunch of haw, haw okie laughs from them t-shirts cause that’s the only joy they are going to get from this year’s RRS. Right now, I predict Texas stomps the Okies and take names in a game that is not even close. I also predict that afterwards NateHeupel suddenly takes a sabbatical and disappears from these boards for a few months – time needed to recover from the psychological scars and trauma of defeat – just like he did after last year’s beat down.
Hey NateHeupel, just some friendly advice, enjoy posting on these boards while it lasts cause I know – with the same certainty that OU Sucks – that you will no longer be posting here somewhere in the middle of the October of this coming year.
You are very welcome,

My feeling on the matter is that although I don’t know if Saint Stoops is seeing the light, he’s definitely feeling the heat.

This morning’s Statesman has an editorial sidebar titled “AIG accounting methods serve Longhorns just fine”; it closes:
“Did Athletic Director DeLoss Dodds also give a little Heisman Trophy replica to quarterback Colt McCoy? He came close, too, only to lose to Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford.”
