Roy Miller gets paid
Former Longhorn Roy Miller signed with Tampa Bay today. He gets a $770,000 signing bonus to go along with the league minimum of $437,500 as his base salary over four years.
He's the latest in a long line of defensive tackles who played under Mack Brown that signed NFL contracts. The others are Casey Hampton, Cedric Woodard, Shaun Rogers, Marcus Tubbs, Corey Redding, Rod Wright, Frank Okam and Derek Lokey.

Now he can afford to buy a shirt.

I’m happy for Roy and will be rooting for him. One of my favorite Longhorns since Vince.
No snark here, move along.

Good for Roy. I’m not sure how $770k as a signing bonus and the league minimum for four years stacks up as a 3rd round pick, but he’s doing just a shade better than 99.99% of college graduates.
Hook ’em!
