Rice vs Texas in 2010

It's going to be played in Reliant Stadium. Well Rice is in 'talks' with Reliant, but it's going to happen.

Texas didn't schedule a true home series with Rice, and the last time they played Rice in Houston was at Reliant in 2003. I remember Chance Mock was our starting quarterback, and I paid $12 for a cheeseburger. Which was worse in retrospect?

And Houston outdoors in...shakes magic eight ball...September will suck.

Yeah, I can go see the Horns in Houston…to see Rice. I look for ways to get out of seeing us play shitty teams in Austin (see UCF in November and planned trip to Stillwater on Halloween), but now I only have to drive 30 minutes!

Yippee!

Another scheduling master stroke for Deloss.

I think we played Rice in Houston in 2006.

Stop bringing up details when HenryJames is on a roll. Why don’t you confuse him even more by telling him that was Colt and not Chance Mock?

Houston Barkers get their home game. All nighter at Trips’ house. CTJ can sacrifice live Owls.

I would invite folks to my house, but the neighborhood has by-laws and shit.

Hook ’em!

Yep, 2006 at Reliant. I was there. I brought a couple of Brit friends along so they could experience the pageantry of the college game.

That didn’t work out so great, but we did get to see Colt and Jarret Dillard perform very well.

Our halftime program will involve suiting up our tuba player in burnt orange so that she can play DT for Texas in the 2nd half.

I’ve blacked out the whole 2006 season from my memory.

There are alot of things that you have blacked out from your memory but most of it is not fit for family hour viewing

Henry, I have pics to remind you of 2006 and will post them on my facebook page as soon as you become famous.

You should have put “shakes magic eight ball” between “will” and “suck”.

Come on man, don’t bag on me like that. I’ll probably always hold the Texas record on lowest season INT percentage (1.1%) for my body of work in 2003. That’s minimum 50 passes, so don’t bring that asshat John Chiles into the conversation.

by Chance Mock on Jul 15, 2009 9:45 AM CDT reply actions

Well, If delo$$ ever schedules a home and home with Maryland, you assclowns can pregame at my house.

HJ, you might want to stay in DuPont circle. It’s a little more your flavor.

‘HJ, you might want to stay in DuPont circle.’

Don’t go man. That place is full of Raiders and frag mines.

The shuttle pass will again work to perfection, ensuring its futile use against more talented teams later in the season.

that’s one hot stiffarm at 2:15

The last game I saw at Rice Stadium involved a certain Ricky Williams going postal to the tune of about 4,000 yards and 20 TDs. I think it was some kind of record at the time.

by Pancho Claus on Jul 15, 2009 9:57 PM CDT reply actions

The last game I saw at Rice Stadium was when we gave up like a billion yards rushing to the Owls and afterwards on the postgame our coach at the time said “Our defense is right where we want it to be.”

That defense also included Leonard Davis – a DT at the time – tearing his ACL as he celebrated Texas fending off Rice’s last-play attempt at a winning TD pass.

We also lost Wane McGarity to a torn ACL suffered while returning a punt.

Good times.

Jeez looking at that 2006 tape, how did we not win the national championship that year. 2 future NFL QBs, 3 NFL RBs, probably 3-4 NFL WRs (we’ll see if Quan makes it), a bevy of NFL DBs and DLs… and enough talent on the OL.

Linebackers!
