The man with the golden arm

The candidates for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award were announced a few days ago. Twenty two players are on the list.

Not Johnny Unitas.

You would think that one of either Colt McCoy, Sam Bradford or Tim Tebow would win it. Well maybe not Tebow. You know, the whole graven images thing. But the award has a recent contrarian history. Out of the last seven quarterbacks to win the Heisman, Carson Palmer was the only one who also won the Unitas in the same year.

So it's conceivable that a guy like Todd Reesing or Max Hall could win it without even being invited to the Heisman ceremony.

Well, maybe not Bradford. He’s not on the list. I am sure it’s an error, but he’s not on the list.

Wow. Had to check it myself. Bradford isn’t on the list.

It’s only for Seniors. Bradford will win it next year on his way to a Heisman 3-peat.

Well that explains it then. Has to be Colt or Tebow.

“It’s only for Seniors. Bradford will win it next year on his way to a Heisman 3-peat”

And on his way to his “Cotton Bowl Loss” 2-peat. And his “January Bowl Loss” 4-peat. And just after his “Lost to Texas in October” 3-peat. I really can go all night, ftf.

Who can honestly trot out onto the internet and spout off that Sam is going to do well with four green O-Line and a diminished WR group? OU may still win plenty of games, but if they do it will be with a much slower, more balanced offense.

“I really can go all night”

That’s not what she said, Kriess.
usually something that happened three times in a row. You do realize UT lost to OU in 2007, right?

I think Colt McCoy is a lock for this award.

a 3-peat is…

usually something that happened three times in a row.

Stupid “ergonomic” keyboard.

Juice Williams.

You read it here first.

But I’ve had a man crush on his mad skillz for a long time.
