Practice: Day Four
Open practice, holla. Where you can find two fans who have diametrically opposed opinions on the same player.
Fan one: 'Christian Scott is the truth.'
Fan two: 'Christian Scott is a black Blake Gideon.'
Whom to believe?!
DJ Grant was injured and carted off the field. Not good, but I'm feeling better than I was last night.
Shorter Mack Brown's blog.
"The only people I like more than our players' parents are our fans."
At least half are pictures of spectators.
Nothing like watching McCoy to Shipley while Greg Davis looks on and jazz plays in the background.
BurntOrangeBeat has practice observations from Gerry Hamilton and Bobby Bragg.
And don't forget the full pads open practice tonight at 7.

“Not good, but I’m feeling better than I was last night.”
Hearing injury is not as serious as first thought?

Barret Matthews looked like he could be a contributor soon. Can’t read too much into a fall practice with a true frosh, but I was desperately looking for hope after seeing DJ carted off the field. Unbelievable.

It ends with Trey Graham. He is one of God’s chosen people.

In retrospect, I’m kind of amazed that David Thomas wasn’t struck dead by lightning or something.

He was struck by lightning… it’s what turned him white.

Barking Carnival brought to you by Burnt Orange Beat!

Nothing wrong with a few bolts of lightning. It’s that 10th or 11th one that gets you.
Just as well. The director was getting too inapropriate in my “trailer.” Pun intended.

Barking Carnival is brought to you by Evony.

Barking Carnival is brought to you by Evony.
Or, to follow the alliterative pattern of BOB’s post:
“Barking Carnival brought to you by big cartoon boobs.”

I drove by on my way to Bass and it was raining, I thought they would move it indoors. I’m glad they came out, because there were plenty of people queued up in the rain to see the practice. Did it start late?

Good thing I don’t believe in spontaneous combustion.

Someone reporting on another website that DJ Grant is out for the year.
by Nordberg on Aug 13, 2009 12:57 PM CDT reply actions
If you told me DJ Grant was out for the year, but we played zero downs with a tight end (excepting short yardage), then I would take it.
I am not optimistic.

Some more pictures (that I took) in the link on this comment.
To answer JW’s question, it started a couple of minutes late, but not much. It rained (sprinkled?) for the first thirty minutes or so.

Best wishes to DJ for a speedy and as-complete-as-can-be recovery. (We share the same HS alma mater.)
