Florida enters this week's game with Tennessee a four-touchdown favorite.
It's not enough.
Florida coach Urban Meyer says he holds Tennessee defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin in great admiration -- his son, not so much.
New Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin spent most of his first few months on the job poking the Gators with a stick, including accusing Meyer of recruiting violations.
Addressing a booster gathering the day after national signing day, while boasting how the Vols had stolen two recruits who had committed to Florida, Kiffin accused Meyer of an NCAA violation for calling wide receiver Nu’Keese Richardson while he was on his official visit to Tennessee.
As it turns out, it was not a violation, and Kiffin was reprimanded by the SEC. He then apologized to Meyer and Florida.
Then there was Lane's remarks at his hiring.
"I'm really looking forward to embracing some of the great traditions at the University of Tennessee, for instance the Vol Walk, running through the T, singing 'Rocky Top'
all night long after we beat Florida next year," Kiffin said. "It will be a blast."
Yes it will.
