Kevin Durant: Be True To Your School
Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder will plays San Antonio in the Frank Erwin Center Tuesday night, and Durant cannot wait to come home.
Durant told the Daily Oklahoman that since there is no shoot around Tuesday morning, he will spend his time on campus.
I’m going to the gym to see the guys," Durant said. "I’ll go see the people in academics. Go to the basketball office. I just might carry my game clothes to the gym because I might be there for the whole day."
The kid truly sees his one year on campus as a life-changing event, and he intends to keep his ties for the rest of his life.
If any of you who frequent BC still want to rant about retiring the number of a one-and-done player needs to go somewhere else, or risk having Trips Right go postal on you.

Hey stop that shit , you know IP is almost right, but Shawn is his man. You should respect his selections as IP has great input / insight from his magic 8 ball.

Boddicker hit the three way better. And at least he stayed around to get the REAL Texas experience.

I have a feeling he’ll finish his degree one day, though goodness knows he’ll probably never need it. He deserves the experience of earning the degree, and I mean that in the best way possible. Classy guy.

I love the idea that the Oklahoma media is pinning its hopes on Durant sticking around after he puts in enough time to be a free agent because he is so loyal.
Just see how loyal he is to Oklahoma City if Mark Cuban puts in an offer.

KD is a true Longhorn…saw him being interviewed in Dallas during the OU game. The kid has done nothing but represent the University with distinction and to raise the profile of our hoops program. Love the guy.

yeah, I just keep trying to figure out some miracle whereby the Spurs end up with him…
I love how he loves us….

um… and by “us” of course, that’s the Horns, not the Spurs… just in case that was unclear.
Just thinking though… who makes you the happiest that they chose to come to Texas? I think other than Vince, it might be Kevin. Great, albeit short, career, and continues to be an absolutely great ambassador for the University.

That wasn’t you on 1560 this morning talking Longhorns was it Bob?

no… why? Someone else yearn for Durant in the silver and black?
I just think he was born to be a Spur – by the time it all would happen, who knows what exactly they’ll be. But tell the truth, would you not just love to see Durant play with Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili? The thing about those guys is that what they do is just not captured by any set of existing statistics. They just seem to do what the team needs most at the right time…. sound like anyone we saw for a year on the 40 acres?
