Bowl Preview 11: Advocare V100 Independence Bowl
Where: Shreveport, LA
When: December 28, 4:00 Central on ESPN
Line History: Opened at 7 but you can find 6.5's. Total is 67.
Trips Rights' Blind Line: I made Georgia an 8 point fave.
The Computer’s Pick: I think the 87 standard deviations caused it to blow up..
Conference Strength: $EC
When TAMU has the ball.
For the Aggies it all comes down to offensive line play. They have a top 10 group of skill position players so when their offensive line plays well, see Texas and Texas Tech, the Aggies score points in bunches. Georgia has been stout against the run holding everyone but Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia Tech to under 4 yards per carry. They have struggled with competent passing attacks and this is where TAMU can make some hay if Johnson has time to find his talented wide receiver group.

Would anyone be really surprised by a 30 point win either way? The most unlikely result to me is a low-scoring, close game. I hate this game for betting.

Both teams need this win so bad you can smell the desperation from Shreveport.

Two bad teams that have a huge fan base and huge emotional investment.
Should be fun.
Bulldogs > Collies….

God SEC offenses can make a defense like TAMU’s look good.

Good question. Maybe because most of us are at work?
From the stats, it seems that Georgia is also making our defense look bad by keeping A & M off the board.

No, the correct answer is ‘because no one gives a shit.’

The aggy defense looks very comfortable handling Cox.

The ticker at the bottom alerts us that no Aggies are considered draftable.
Man, their talent has fallen a long way.

Painful end of the first half…. apparently only the Big 12 refs decide to review the clock.

and they handle adversity like France handles Germany.

I don’t know what you guys were smoking, but this was totally predictable, if only because it was on TV and away from Collieville and this year’s Aggies don’t do that.
Not to mention that their bowl game was last month.

So an average and unmotivated GA team didn’t believe the hype from Austin that Jerrod Johnson is the next Vince Young and have its D proceed to squat and pee for 39 points and 500+ yards of offense? Shocking.

Actually they tried, giving up just about 500 yards, but A&M would have none of it.

At one point in the third quarter the ags had 23 first downs to Georgia’s 9. And 400 yards of offense to Georgia’s 200.

I hope alabama watched that game… and got even more confident about how much they are going to kill us.
I will never understand why those SEC retards chant for the conference after the games, and teams like kentucky and vanderbuilt can walk around with their heads high going on about how strong the conference is and sec speed from top to bottom… blahhhh

The gaggies sharted the bed, plain and simple.

The Dawgs gave the aggies all the yards and first downs they wanted; they weren’t nearly as generous with points. And points, as we all know, win games. HOW ’BOUT THEM DAWGS!!!

Because they are proud to be a part of what is clearly the best conference in CFB.
Big 12 South picking up right where it left off the 2008 bowl season.
