I’ve got the Bucks +4.5. If I lose, I’m going to ask HenryJames for a loan.

I hope LaGarrett Blount punches someone Woody Hayes style.

It’s an Open Thread miracle!
Is this Pryor’s 6th or 7th year at Ohio State?
by TOR on Jan 1, 2010 4:15 PM CST reply actions
Oregon’s defense is horrible. So is every other team’s in the Pac-10. AZ actually allowed Nebraska to score repeatedly.
by ghostofagroundgame on Jan 1, 2010 4:25 PM CST reply actions
Remember when everyone said Terrell Pryor was the next Vince Young? I think we can tap the brakes on that. Good player, though.

Doesn’t that Sansenbacher kid have a popcorn business?
by Trips Right on Jan 1, 2010 4:26 PM CST reply actions
Dennis Dixon was a better fake VY than Pryor is.
by ghostofagroundgame on Jan 1, 2010 4:28 PM CST reply actions
Pryor is a slower Matt Jones who has done less meth.
by Trips Right on Jan 1, 2010 4:32 PM CST reply actions
Matt Jones is a party guy. Why does everyone hate on party guys?
by ghostofagroundgame on Jan 1, 2010 4:34 PM CST reply actions
The thing about Oregon’s offense is that it’s entirely impotent before it gets on a role. This game could easily wind up looking like the first one against Boise State.
by fitzhume on Jan 1, 2010 4:35 PM CST reply actions
Ohio State +4.5 is my only 3 unit bowl bet of the year.

hahahaha, Mandel may want a do-over

It was a credible argument then. The round-robin schedule really masks how weak that conference actually is.
by fitzhume on Jan 1, 2010 4:40 PM CST reply actions
Teams in the same conference beating each other doesn’t make an argument, but ok.
by Pac10! Pac10! Pac10! on Jan 1, 2010 4:42 PM CST reply actions
When they did the rosters for Oregon and all the starters were from California, and they showed how many Ohio State players were from out of state it really brought hom to me how good we have it in recruiting.
by ghostofagroundgame on Jan 1, 2010 4:43 PM CST reply actions
Y’all know Ryan Mallet had a little meth problem too.
Dude can sling it though
by UT wildcatter on Jan 1, 2010 4:44 PM CST reply actions
Who’s OSU’s back up QB, in case Pryor reinjures his knee?

Those Taco Bell commercials are as accurate as the McDonalds commercials that cast an Indian dude as a cashier. It’s McDonalds, not McDonnell-Douglas’ IT department, for Christa sake.

My credit cards have all been maxed out
The meat in my freezer all thawed
The IRS laid the facts out
It’s all worse than I thought
The welfare lady said enough is enough
The kids ain’t been to school in weeks
Crystal-meth in the bathtub
Blood splattered in my sink
Laying around in the aftermath
It’s all worse than you think

It would only be better if it were Tiger Woods asking the counter girls if “the five-layer deal is still cool.”

What do the Matthews progeny have against barbers?
by kevwun on Jan 1, 2010 6:20 PM CST reply actions
Applewhite wanted to recruit LaMichael James.
by HenryJames on Jan 1, 2010 6:25 PM CST reply actions
Pryor is closer to Reggie McNeal than he is to Vince.
by HenryJames on Jan 1, 2010 6:31 PM CST reply actions
Trips and his 4.5 are measuring about a factor of about 9.5 on the sphincter scale right now.

So, USC was the only Pac-10 team to win a bowl game then.

No idea what to think about this UF/Cincy game. Think I’ll take a leave of absence.
by TOR on Jan 1, 2010 7:30 PM CST reply actions
I think I’m rooting for Cincy. Just for the Tebow tearz.
by gargle on Jan 1, 2010 7:33 PM CST reply actions
SEC fan working the whistle from the stands? Unpossible!

That slo-mo elbow bending the wrong way made me kind of queasy.
by TOR on Jan 1, 2010 8:02 PM CST reply actions
HJ,
I don’t think that’s true about James as he is a redshirt freshman and Applewhite just finished his second year at Texas. I don’t think he would have had time to recruit him unless he was recruiting him for Alabama. With that being said, I’m glad we took Hills and Newton for Rodgers and James.

Is there anyone coaching in this game who has NOT taken a job elsewhere?
by TOR on Jan 1, 2010 8:19 PM CST reply actions
Is it me or does CIncy run the same offense we do?
by holdem on Jan 1, 2010 8:21 PM CST reply actions

What purpose do those little plastic elbow rings serve? Strictly decorative or what?
by pants on Jan 1, 2010 8:31 PM CST reply actions
Only 40 minutes and 24 seconds until I never have to hear a college football announcer say something incredibly stupid about Tebow. Praise Allah.
by kevwun on Jan 1, 2010 8:32 PM CST reply actions

They’re discarded Texas cock rings. Duh.
by Magnificent Bastard on Jan 1, 2010 8:57 PM CST reply actions
If Texas had lost to Nebraska, Cincy would be playing on January 7th. Think about that for a moment.
by Groundhog Day on Jan 1, 2010 9:11 PM CST reply actions
That may have single-handedly spelled the demise of the BCS. And it would have been a laugh riot.
by fitzhume on Jan 1, 2010 9:22 PM CST reply actions
The polls would have shifted significantly with a Texas loss. Cincy’s 45-44 win over Pitt would not have helped them pick up the #2 votes.
by Magnificent Bastard on Jan 1, 2010 9:25 PM CST reply actions
Cincy looks like a team that just lost its head coach.
by ghostofagroundgame on Jan 1, 2010 9:27 PM CST reply actions
Did anyone see the guys digging up a hole in the rose bowl field after the game? Right in front of the osu end zone, 3 lawn crew (?) were huddled around a hole with shovels digging into the turf.
It was right behind the ESPN live shot when they had Tressel on the rose bowl sports center desk after the win.
I’m thinking it could be a bama-supplied IED… maybe fueled with corn-likker and set to explode when Shipley tries to cross the goal-line?
by fbomb on Jan 1, 2010 9:31 PM CST reply actions
A Bama-supplied IED is a guaranteed dud.
by Magnificent Bastard on Jan 1, 2010 9:43 PM CST reply actions
They’re replacing the whole field between now and Thursday.

This weekend’s experience in the Orlando Citrus Mud Bowl has me feeling not particularly sanguine about this whole idea.
by johnnymac on Jan 1, 2010 10:01 PM CST reply actions
Will the Tebow cam continue after the game? Like when he’s beating puppies and slapping grandmothers suffering from cancer?
by Craig Biggio's Dirty Uniform on Jan 1, 2010 10:10 PM CST reply actions
I want a freeze dried 3-by-3 inch piece of the Alabama endzone. So I can piss on it.
