Tech making a DEFENSIVE play that leads to a very Leachian scoring drive.
So far Tech – Leach >= Tech + Leach. But, it’s early.

Remember that Michigan State only has, like 40 guys left on its roster. The missing ones are getting ready to throw down with a bunch of Tennessee Volunteers to decide who gets the top bunk*.

This year, watching “A Christmas Carol” with the family, I stopped the movie halfway through to ensure that Tim died.
The kids cried, but it was worth it.

Tech actually returns every skill position player next year. Interesting.
by Newy25 on Jan 2, 2010 8:45 PM CST reply actions
Davie just said TT doesn’t need ML on the sidelines, the system is already in place. he sure will be surprised next year.
by iamthepush on Jan 2, 2010 8:46 PM CST reply actions
WWL line = ttech line. I didn’t know that MPatrick and BDavie were practically MD and PT certified. Not to mention not a word about WWL’s conflict of interest or the other stuff on the Pirate’s side. Hate those dicks.
by Chili Switch on Jan 2, 2010 8:50 PM CST reply actions
An inside source told me that ML does brandon carter’s make up before each game and he left TT early so no one would notice when he followed carter to the nfl. Looks like that one backfired.
by iamthepush on Jan 2, 2010 8:51 PM CST reply actions
I don’t have a dog in the TT internal fight, but I’d sure like it if Adam James looked a little less smug on the sideline.
by NorthDallasSooner on Jan 2, 2010 8:52 PM CST reply actions
I’m pretty sure Adam James is a little cocksucker. If he wasn’t, he would have told his daddy to STFU and let things be. I’m not saying that excuses what Leach did, but I doubt James is anything but an entitled little prick based on his actions.

Does Vasherized play golf with the owner?
by Trips Right on Jan 2, 2010 8:57 PM CST reply actions
Vasherized went to prep school with the owner’s ex-business partner’s retarded gay niece.

I agree, Trips but leach is such a prick he couldn’t even apologize in order to keep his job. 17-7 sand aggys.

Savage, I don’t disagree.
HJ, every restaurant I’ve been to with Vasherized, he’s on a first name basis with the owner. No shit.

I didn’t know ‘Rainbow Cattle Company’ was an actual restaurant.

Ha ha ha ha, I’ve see our own DB’s have the same conversation after a Tech score. The tenor of the conversation is “Hey bro, what the fuck is going on?” “I don’t know, man, do these sonsabitches ever run it?”
by Trips Right on Jan 2, 2010 9:05 PM CST reply actions
It’s obvious that no one seems to know just what pirate did do; and just as obvious why he did whatever he did. He likely knew when he did it that a) he wasn’t going to apologize and b) he wasn’t going to be around tt any more one way or the other. But…..he WANTS the money just a badly as they DON’T want him to get it.

Back to the game – Taylor Potts has a damned strong arm. That kid has all the tools to be a great college QB. How has he struggled so much this year?

Baron Batch would look good in burnt orange. Wish we had him.
by Trips Right on Jan 2, 2010 9:46 PM CST reply actions
Batch is up there with Christine Michelle, and Kindel Hunter, as yet another starting running back in the Big 12 South that is better than anything we can put on the field at the position this year.

I agree that Adam James is a prick and so is Leach. When I heard about the no sunglasses rule Leach had for practice it clicked. I’m sure the doctors told James that he would be light sensitive for a few days and that he needed to wear sunglasses when outside. Being the ass that he is, he knew wearing them to practice would be another way to fuck with Leach. Leach being the idiot he is couldn’t let it go and sent James to timeout in the shed and then refused to apologize giving the tech administration the excuse they were looking for.

Nixonian flop-sweat aside, Ruff called a very Leachian game, giving the Tech faithful exactly what they want: An offense-filled W laced with borderline-reckless chance taking.
And I liked how Ruffin emphasized to all the parents that he’d take care of “their most prized possessions, their sons.” He might as well have worn a T-shirt saying “I don’t wanna be like Mike!” Good for him.

Tim,
Congrats on your win. What a big win for the kids, for Ruffin, and for the Tech family. Just a heroic effort from all of those Llano Estacado warriors counting midwestern coup all over the Alamo Dome floor. Had Keith Jackson been doing the play by play, it would have been perfect. But still, the win will go down in college football annuls as an all timer. Well done Tech. Well done. Muleshoe holla.

When does Ruffin McNeil get an invite to Alabama camp to help them strategize for Texas? He’s heard that the appetizers are the bomb out there and can’t wait to bullshit with Pelini and Stoops to feel like a real coach.

I had to watch this game peering through a gaggle of chicks in the 38-50 age range on a makeshift dance floor in my friend Patrick’s basement (NYE party on Jan 2nd – it’s a…..thing they do). A couple of seven’s and a strong eight in the bunch. Things got interesting when the girls started using pool cues like dildos (no clothing discarded, unfortunately).
I wouldn’t fuck Amy Madigan with HJ’s bifurcated tapas fork cock..

Tim is awesome — while being certain that a kid who broke his leg during offseason running has a “bad attitude”, he’s also been up on the barricade with some chlamydianed Cosette, foaming at the mouth and screaming “Vive le Corsaire!” while trying to put a bullet through the heart of Javert Myers … all because of Adam James’ bad attitude.

Lincoln Riley = Pass. Batch 186 yards on 28 touches and 2 TDs. Funny how Potts actually looked good for most of the game. Really loved the fast tempo he called. Huge difference.
Ruffin McNeill = Fail. That defense was brutal for me to watch in the stands. Maybe he can bring in a quality DC, but I’m not sure who will want to work under him.
by dedfischer on Jan 3, 2010 11:54 AM CST reply actions
I don’t think anyone could even breath under him.
By the way, I’m pretty sure that was Welker’s ACL that he just shredded on that play. Not a good omen for the Patriots.

This isn’t directed at HJ, per se, but what’s the point of that Youtube video? That the coach chewed out a slacker player and used profanity? The horror!
Seriously, this whole “mean coach” meme is horrible. Yes, it’s wrong to physically harm or emotionally abuse a kid with personal insults that have nothing to do with football (like Mangino did in both ways), but getting chewed out in practice? So what?
Every single kid on every single football team at every single level from 7th grade up gets chewed out from time to time by a coach and occasionally the relationship between coach and player becomes irreparable when either the coach or the player give up trying to relate with the other. So what? What did Leach do that was so horrible in this context? It’s called coaching and there’s nothing special or worrisome with how Adam James was treated. Getting stuck in a dark room didn’t harm him and Leach not being pleased with his performance or attitude is Leach’s prerogative as the head coach.
Seriously, I am not pleased with the advent of Fair Play College Football, which is where this whole thing seems to be headed. Absuing players is definitely wrong, but it seems like we’ve crossed the line from abuse being a no-no to just being mean as a cause for losing one’s job. Puhleeze.
