Quandre Diggs committed to Texas last night. The commitment was reported first by Sir Gerry Hamilton of ESPN.

Texas' offer was his 25th.

The Texas offer was the 24th offer for Diggs who was also courted by Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas A&M among many others. Florida, Georgia and USC were all showing heavy interest with the Trojans figuring to be offering very soon.

In addition to his Junior Day visit to Texas, Diggs was invited to attend Junior Days at LSU and Oklahoma. His track schedule prevented him from making it to either event.

While he figures to play defensive back at Texas, Diggs said his future position is not set in stone.

"They offered me as an athlete and I’m going to go in and compete and play wherever they need me," Diggs said.
