What is this play called where the QB gives it to a tailback and he goes right at the line of scrimmage? Isn’t the back supposed to run right at the sideline? I’m lost.

Kenny is fearless. I was at a practice where this happened:

Gilbert three step drop to Hills in the flat. Hills catches ball and starts to turn upfield. Before he’s hit you hear, “Damn….Kennnnyy!” And then you see Vaccaro light his ass up like a bag of shit on a doorstep. It was funny to me how it was audibilized before you saw it. Like when I watched the Kingdome get razed on tv only to hear the explosion 20 seconds later.

Looking forward to watching this.

Just got back. Kind of hard to evaluate anything when half our team isn’t playing. But Gilbert looks like the real deal, and the run game looks the same, productivity-wise.

Our fans our getting stupider, or I’m just getting older and my tolerance for stupidity is decreasing. After Case McCoy threw his third or fourth pass, the guy behind me yelled, “Hey, is that Colt’s brother out there??”. The guy next to him said “I don’t know. Maybe.”

I’m DVR’ing, home nacho’ing, and drinking, and have only seen the first half. Nordberg, you think the run game looks the same?

Matthews looked good catching the ball and looks pretty quick. Gilbert seems to trust Matthews.

1st team O faced the 2nd team D, right? I guess this was all about building Gilbert’s confidence. It would have been interesting to see the 1st team O face the 1st team D.
