Whats your take on Katz’s having UT in the top 25 ?

SMH: Katz obviously talks to Barnes quite a bit. But when things were falling apart, he wrote dumb things about what they should do. I think he sees the talent, and not how it doesn’t really fit.

So, what happens when we suck next year, and then we lose Hamilton, Gary Johnson, Balbay (if we even have him in the first place) and Tristan Thompson? I’m sure we lose some of WangchapHill, but I’m not even counting that at this point. We’re going to be nothing but freshmen in 2011.

Why do his parents want him to go to Villanova?

Is it because of the 11:1 student to teacher ratio? (over-rated)
Is it because of the Roman Catholic history of Villanova? (good thing his scholarship will cover those 3 credit hours of bullshit)
Can we blame Rick Barnes?

His family may want to make sure he has a girlfriend. No idea, but Villanova is much closer to Ontario than Austin is. And it looks like Barnes no longer maximizes the output of his freshman as he once did. Who is the Texas assistant in charge of recruiting him? I hear all the time about the Villanova asst. from Houston and Thompson and Kabongo on Texas’ side but where is Terry or Springman?
