NFL Draft: Rounds 2 3
Still a lot of big value on the board today.
Let's see if Josh McDaniels will overvalue some more H-backs.
I'm off to start the weekend, but this thread is yours for play and enjoyment.
Stay thirsty, my friends.

Ah, the Eagles are up. Let’s see if they’ll double down on yesterday’s stupid.

Nate Allen, S.
I can see why they passed on Earl Thomas. They had NATE ALLEN in their sights.

Cleveland coming up @ #38. Will this be Clausen or Colt?
by Scipio Tex on Apr 23, 2010 5:25 PM CDT reply actions
NFL isn’t very sold on McCoy or The Jimmy so far.
by Scipio Tex on Apr 23, 2010 5:30 PM CDT reply actions
Cleveland passed on both????
Oh look Oakland can still take Taylor Mays.

wait they just traded the pick to TB. Does Tampa take their 3rd DT of the draft?
by dick on Apr 23, 2010 5:32 PM CDT reply actions
Colt and Jimmy will both be around when Denver uses their 2nd round pick (barring trade). Good thing they traded up to get Tebow. ha ha ha ha!

Golden Tate would be a smart pick for the Bucs here

No one will take Taylor Mays. Is it because he’s Jewish or because his name makes him sound like a Vivid Girl? Discuss.

Boy Kindle is going to drop. Miami was targeting him in the first round before the news and now they take some OLB/DE kid from Utah over him in the 2nd.

Well, it’s hard to go wrong with a Samoan/Tongan.
by Toadvine on Apr 23, 2010 5:42 PM CDT reply actions
Or at least a Mormon one. You don’t want a boozer it seems.
by Toadvine on Apr 23, 2010 5:42 PM CDT reply actions
Samoan’s are owning this draft. If I were a Samoan, living in Samoa, I would have like 50 kids – probably have pretty good odds of at least 10 drawing NFL paychecks.

What if the Raiders take Colt? Scipio, would you get season tickets?

Ray Lewis is going to take a stab at announcing this pick. Get it? Because he stabbed someone with a knife.

Kindle to the Ravens! I love it. Great spot for him.

Does Cleve or Buff now trade up for a QB (Colt) now that Clausen is off the table? Otherwise, does he fall down to Minnesota at the end of the round, who sit him behind Favre for 1-2 years?

Listen to Mel Kiper trying to defend his jackassery. “This may be the 2nd round but this is Carolina’s #1 pick. They didn’t want anybody more than they wanted Jimmy Clausen.” No, tool, this is the top guy on their board left after 45 picks.

Colt to Indy? Is that the real reason they were in town recently, and not for us to pick their brains on how to properly execute the stretch play?

I wonder if Colt McCoy is keeping his heart open right now. There are a lot of uninspiring to bad QBs in the NFL. I wonder if the docs think that pinched nerve is going to be a recurring thing.

Bengals decide the 09 Texas receiving corps is gggrrrrrrrreat!

Fitting. Jordan and Colt go to the same state and are back to back picks……

Colt and Shipley go side by side. Hollywood couldn’t write that.
Hope they like cold weather.

Fans of roommate jokes everywhere need to be rooting for Cleveland to trade their remaining 3rd rounder and a 6 to get ship.

Palmer got some nice toys to play with in Gresham and Shipley.

Armanti Edwards is a badass. I like Carolina’s draft.

“Quan is much loved in Cincy. He’s fine.”
Hell, that’s probably why they took Shipley

Geeze, that was like Chinese water torture. Congrats to Colt and Ship for finally getting their shot.

Dare I say the Oakland raiders drafted modestly well? What is this world coming to? Even Jerry Jones did all right.
The Denver Broncos are the new Oakland Raiders.

I actually like the Roland McClain pick as long as his Crohn’s doesn’t fuck things up. Dude was not going to fall below 11 so he only went 3 picks higher than his slot, not 3 rounds higher like Tebow did.
McClain, Lamaar Houston and Richard Seymour is a nice front 7 middle of your defense. Their D was already able to win them games last season. If the Raiders could have just have drafted Joe Thomas instead of Jamarcus Russel in 07, they would be playoff contenders in 2010.

Look at how Oakland played in the second half of the season. They are playoff contenders.

Oakland is on fire. They just took a tackle in the fourth round that was on everyone’s first round mock draft.
Wished he would have fallen to Dallas, though.

The Bengals just picked Muckelroy with the last pick in the fourth round.

Trust most of you saw this from the AAS, but haven’t seen it referenced:
Kindle hurt knee at UT pro day
Sergio Kindle said he was told four teams took him off their draft board after the Longhorn defensive end sprained his left knee at UT’s pro day, March 31.
That draft chatter dropped him to the second round, after he was projected as a mid-first rounder.
The injury occurred as Kindle started running the 60-yard shuttle, a drill used to test agility. He said he suffered a mild sprain, but every coach and scout saw it happen. He then went through the rest of the drills.
"It was just the point that it happened," Kindle told the American-Statesman. "All the teams saw it.
"Things happen for a reason. All the money I might have lost (from dropping out of the first round), I’ll make up by the way I play on the field. I’ll earn it back on the field."
Kindle said he’d never had problems with his left knee. However, he did have surgery on his right knee after the 2007 Holiday Bowl.
Kindle was thrilled that Ray Lewis announced his name when the Ravens made the pick.
