Got few hours to kill before the game starts.

… and then she said “no, but that’s a really nice ski mask!”.

While waiting, what was your favorite 4th round or later pick? Assuming Colt is everybody’s in the 3rd. Mine’s got to be Muck going to the Bengals. Just this weekend they have become a team to watch for me. I think Muck stays on the inside, puts some weight on, and becomes a good, serviceable starter for years. At least a 2 down starter.

by Balltastic Motivization on Apr 24, 2010 4:20 PM CDT reply actions

I didn’t realize the bengals also grabbed Muck. Did they just pull ahead of the Titans for most Horns on an NFL team? They became a favorite of mine to watch after they got Benson, and it got better when Cosby joined him.

So did anyone else notice that WEST Texas A&M had a player drafted sooner and more players drafted than B/C Texas A&M?

by UT_06 on Apr 24, 2010 4:33 PM CDT reply actions

Fact: if Juwan Howard is on your team then your team sucks.

by Toadvine on Apr 24, 2010 5:05 PM CDT reply actions

I’m confused, Juwan Howard plays for the Bengals?

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 5:35 PM CDT reply actions

Our party limo will be here in 45 minutes to take us to the game. The wife has vowed to stab Bryant in the butt with a hatpin if he falls into our seats again. It’s a whiteout nite, everyone will be wearing a white t-shirt.

by ransomstoddard on Apr 24, 2010 5:58 PM CDT reply actions

Have fun, stoddard. We’re all rooting for you to have a good time.

In other news, Royal Ivey just scored. Didn’t know he was still in the Association. I’m happy for him. Great guy. Great Longhorn.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 8:13 PM CDT reply actions

Chick broadcaster. I don’t like it.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 8:30 PM CDT reply actions

I don’t like it either. But she was just talking about how much she likes penetration, so there’s that.

And I don’t give a shit how much Scipio loves Green, I still think he can easily be replaced.

“Rise and fire!!”
“Penetration!!”

by Emperor Palpatine on Apr 24, 2010 8:38 PM CDT reply actions

oops.
I mean, I agree with everything he just said.

by nordberg on Apr 24, 2010 8:39 PM CDT reply actions

Durant working Artest off of the dribble.

Thunder off to a fast start, playing at the pace they want.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 8:41 PM CDT reply actions

That Westbrook pass to Krstic was otherworldly. Too bad he didn’t finish.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 8:42 PM CDT reply actions

Durant almost decapitated himself on that dunk. And I’m pretty sure he was holding the ball four feet above the rim. Incredible.

Too bad he didn’t play here along with Augustin and James.
Oh, wait

by nordberg on Apr 24, 2010 8:44 PM CDT reply actions

Durant looks like he’s chirping at Artest. I love it.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 8:45 PM CDT reply actions

Gasol – most effective goofy guy since any member of the ’86 Celtics.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 8:47 PM CDT reply actions

Ransom i think i just saw you. Are you wearing white?
Ha ha ha ha!

by nordberg on Apr 24, 2010 8:49 PM CDT reply actions

What’s the matter with Bryant? He’s passed up a couple open shots.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 8:49 PM CDT reply actions

Westbrook all grows up right in front of us.

I remember when he was the 4th best Bruin on his own college team.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 8:50 PM CDT reply actions

Gotta be more hurt than we know.

by nordberg on Apr 24, 2010 8:51 PM CDT reply actions

Ibaka. That was Mo Malone type shit.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 8:54 PM CDT reply actions

Artest gets away with murder on Durant away from the ball. Ron Ron has to love wearing the Laker jersey. It’s like a cloak of invisibility.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 8:55 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah Pau, that’s a jump ball.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 8:56 PM CDT reply actions

Do you guys remember when Harden scored 44 for the Kentucky Colonels in 1975 and then snorted an entire duffel bag of coke?

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 8:57 PM CDT reply actions

When Westbrook extends his range he’s going to be unstoppable.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 8:59 PM CDT reply actions

Westbrook just powerspooged on Fisher’s face.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 8:59 PM CDT reply actions

he’s going to unstoppable? is that near 11?

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 8:59 PM CDT reply actions

In this break in the action, I’d like to say that I don’t appreciate being made to pull for a team from oklahoma. Like Bateshorn told me the other night, this doesn’t feel right but I’m going to do it anyway.

by nordberg on Apr 24, 2010 9:02 PM CDT reply actions

11? Sure.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 9:03 PM CDT reply actions

Kobe must be pretty hurt. Not even testing Harden.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 9:04 PM CDT reply actions

They’ve kept the lead with Durant on the bench.

Ibaka is just huge right now.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 9:07 PM CDT reply actions

Ibaka is 20? Holy fuck.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 9:12 PM CDT reply actions

Adam Morrison angling to score some crank.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 9:12 PM CDT reply actions

Ibaka’s getting every board and every loose ball.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 9:14 PM CDT reply actions

Ummm, how can you not be shooting on an oop attempt?

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 9:15 PM CDT reply actions

Can’t front Bynum with Kobe feeding. Too skilled. Too long.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 9:18 PM CDT reply actions

Brooks complaining about 3 missed calls. Can’t blame him. The goal tend and the call on Durant were atrocious.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 9:18 PM CDT reply actions

Harden!

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 9:21 PM CDT reply actions

Okc needs to go to Harden. There’s something wrong with Kobe. He’s not moving well at all.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 9:24 PM CDT reply actions

Artest’s D approach is actually genius. By fouling from the beginning of the possession unrelentingly, you actually make the officials treat that as the baseline of normal D.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 9:29 PM CDT reply actions

Scipio, you’re right. It’s like the Nolan Richardson 40 minutes of hell philosophy. YOu can’t call them all.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 9:32 PM CDT reply actions

Exactly. Like a corner with a rep for tight coverage.

by nordberg on Apr 24, 2010 9:33 PM CDT reply actions

F’n Westbrook, huge tip.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 9:34 PM CDT reply actions

Westbrook is a Top 5 NBA point guard.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 9:35 PM CDT reply actions

Wow, Kobe gets to make his own calls. Let’s go shirts and skins fellas. F’ me.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 9:36 PM CDT reply actions

I love that Kobe complaining can make an officiating crew reverse the correct call.

This is why the NBA is a fucking disgrace. Truly. Name another sport where that happens.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 9:36 PM CDT reply actions

Will Jeff Green ever make a contribution?

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 9:39 PM CDT reply actions

Nice no call on Gasol on Durant. WTF

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 9:39 PM CDT reply actions

Adam Morrison has a glorious goatee. He actually frightened a missed foul shot out of Durant.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 9:40 PM CDT reply actions

Gotta love going in at half up 13 with Durant having played only 19 minutes.

Jeff Green is 2 of 11 on wide open shots. Rest of Thunder: 15 of 28.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 9:44 PM CDT reply actions

I’ve been waiting for years for Adam Morrison to be picked up on some creepy charges of some sort.

by nordberg on Apr 24, 2010 9:49 PM CDT reply actions

Can OKC pick up a game in LA? If so this series is over.

by nordberg on Apr 24, 2010 9:50 PM CDT reply actions

Durant is starting to get to the rim and that’s bad news for LA.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 10:05 PM CDT reply actions

Westbrook with THE KISS.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 10:07 PM CDT reply actions

Sometimes I forget how fast Durant is. He can really finish.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 10:12 PM CDT reply actions

Brendan Fraser needs to be killed.

by nordberg on Apr 24, 2010 10:12 PM CDT reply actions

Green played basketball the last three possessions on both ends.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 10:17 PM CDT reply actions

Lakers are melting down. Hopefully a drawn out series will favor the Thunder’s youth.

by NY Horn on Apr 24, 2010 10:30 PM CDT reply actions

This is a fantastic performance. I had no expectation of running LA out of the gym.

Up 22 going into the 4th.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 10:31 PM CDT reply actions

NY, yep. The Thunder have to win one in LA. Will be hard to beat the refs and the Lakers with a little rest.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 10:33 PM CDT reply actions

This series is looking an awful lot like last year’s Houston/LA series. But OKC is younger and better than last year’s Rockets team. The Lakers can’t fuck around like they did a year ago.

by CrazyJoeDavola on Apr 24, 2010 10:42 PM CDT reply actions

OK, now this is just humiliating for the Lakers. Way go to Luke Walton!

by Balltastic Motivization on Apr 24, 2010 10:48 PM CDT reply actions

Man, LA looks like they just want to get the hell out of there.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 10:48 PM CDT reply actions

Eric Maynor is looking pretty good. This team just needs some muscle down low.

by Balltastic Motivization on Apr 24, 2010 10:49 PM CDT reply actions

Kobe ain’t healthy. Lakers are in big trouble.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 10:50 PM CDT reply actions

The NBA is in trouble if Serge Ibaka becomes the 18-10 guy he looks to be, Westbrook gets a consistent jumper, and Durant continues being Durant.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 10:54 PM CDT reply actions

I’m happy because somewhere Rhett Bomar is smiling.

by Trips Right on Apr 24, 2010 10:56 PM CDT reply actions

“Man, LA looks like they just want to get the hell out of there.”

The best home court advantage you can have: being in Oklahoma.

by nordberg on Apr 24, 2010 11:00 PM CDT reply actions

I think Morrison just scored – Are those his first NBA points?

by Balltastic Motivization on Apr 24, 2010 11:02 PM CDT reply actions

He started as a rookie.

Knee injury.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 11:03 PM CDT reply actions

Statement win.

2-2.

Let’s go to LA.

by Scipio Tex on Apr 24, 2010 11:09 PM CDT reply actions

OKC has to win Game 5 or else the series would be guaranteed to at least go back to LA where it’ll be ref’ed by Joe Crawford, Jimmy Conway and Nicki Santoro.

I think they can do it.

by dick on Apr 25, 2010 12:02 AM CDT reply actions

Remarkable stat from ESPN…

Lakers are 17-0 in Game 5 at home when tied 2-2.

Even more remarkable:
Rockets 4-0, Mavs 3-0

These are things I never suspected, much less knew.

by Bob in Houston on Apr 25, 2010 8:54 AM CDT reply actions

That’s amathing, Bob.

We Okies are just happy to get a game 6, at least. Wild crowd last night. Can’t get a big head now. Gotta keep on running, keep on rolling.

by WB_Heaven on Apr 25, 2010 10:05 AM CDT reply actions

Last night was pretty fun.

Anyone notice that Lamarcus put up 31 and 11 last night?

by ransomstoddard on Apr 25, 2010 10:49 AM CDT reply actions

lamarcus will always be one of those players that has people talking about the things he doesn’t do well (rebound consistently, for example) while ignoring all of the things he does do well. the big contract that portland gave him will only exacerbate this…but he’s a really, really good player on a playoff team. not too shabby.

by mpayne on Apr 25, 2010 3:46 PM CDT reply actions

He said that when Roy went into the game, he was able to shoot without being double-teamed for the first time.
