Damn allergies got me around the six minute mark. I’d never seen the TV version as I was in the stands in the student section.

And damn, the Simms deep balls to wide open receivers looked nice…hoping we can get some kind of running game to enable those to happen again.

Very nice. Only missing Sergio lighting up Potts last year.

Vasher had a 44 yard punt return in that Cole Pittman game as well.

I’m not even a Texas fan and that gave me goosebumps. Good shit.

They should play this video before every game. We seriously need more classic UT highlights in our opening video. We get Arkansas and the Rose (which is great), but only for a few seconds. Why not show a big hit montage, great play montage? Is it a video rights issue? Roll left/Stoney Clark/Quan v. Lendy Holmes/VY (pick it) should be mandatory viewing at every game.

My takeaways from that video:
 
1. I will never tire of VY highlights either
2. Limas Sweed and Quan Cosby are the best downfield blockers in Longhorn history
3. I still miss Derrick Johnson
4. Loop together the Cole Pittman moment with Paul Rhoads’ postgame locker room speech and a reading of Where The Red Fern Grows and I’m a human Hallmark commercial

I need a cigarette after that. What an amazing decade of football.

Poor music selection is the single biggest problem with most Texas highlight videos. This one was done right.

Derrick Johnson was a violent linebacker that we have yet to replace. Definitely have some candidates in the pipeline.

Kieth Jackson is an absolute wet blanket for all of VY’s Rose Bowl theatrics and alot of the OU hilights as well. Not that Way’s radiojaculations are much better. I am pretty sure he was being attacked by an asiatic black bear at one point.

For that video, ‘awesome’ is not overstatement! I had chills watching it. VY and Derrick Johnson are players that I will never forget.

I drove down Highway 79 through Franklin, Texas, this year. Just off the highway, where Cole was killed, a very nice cross was placed after his death. It’s not the type you normally see by the road – it is larger, and it is finished with stain and varnish. It is still there, and it is still well kept.

That video about covers it. As a fanbase, we are damn lucky. Aren’t we ransom?

Here’s what I take away:
1. If you aren’t showing nekkid ass in the great state of Texas, well then, you’re just not a fan.
2. Has that guy from OSU landed yet? You know that guy that VY deeked with the pump fake. Dude might as well have gone Dee Brown and covered his face.
3. Derrick Johnson can haz speed. Holy shit, we might have some talented LB’s in the pipeline, but I’m not sure we have a safety that fast.
4. The Pittman part was quite touching.
5. “Vince Young” by Z-Ro ftmfw. I know srr50 is youtubing it as I type.
6. Fuck OU-yes, that should have been first. I put it sixth because I like Nate.
7. Sept. 4th. I’m going to attempt to be sober for the Rice beatdown, but I make no promises.

 Trips had a video that he and his son watched while his son was being treated for the same illness that Raylee is enduring. It will give you chills. I’ll have him post it.

My only complaint, why’d you make it so short? I’ve got the rest of the day ahead of me and I want me some more. Also I would have included Colt bowling over the DB(twice) last year as he ran into the end zone.

Explain to me again how Vince did not win a Heisman? That f’ing Reggie Bush did not throw for TD’s.

Has there been anyone wear the burnt orange that could flat out run a fade better than Limas? Not in my opinion.

What up guys, I’m the one that made the video. Thanks for all of the kind words and compliments, it means a lot. I never imagined this video would get around as fast it did. It’s everywhere it seems.

Also, I made it the length I did because I thought it was close to perfect that way. I would have loved to put more stuff in there, but if I did that it would be hours long (which wouldn’t be a bad thing at all, and actually wouldn’t mind doing it), but that wasn’t really what I was going for here. I had a few clips that I wanted to put in there, but the quality wasn’t good enough or a few. A few that come to mind: Vasher on Carlos Francis…Babers pick-6 against OU. So I know it will never please everyone, but that will never happen with our fan base! :) Take care.
