Muschampions Of Muleshoe
Things are quiet here at Barking Carnival headquarters this Friday afternoon. Most of the guys are in a Tote Bag-subcommittee design meeting.
Two words: Ball Hawk
Or is it one word? It's not in the OED.
Others are looking for Longhorn Bob's Dream Wagon which will soon depart for the greater Lubbock area.
Peter Bean from Burnt Orange Nation should be joining us for an impromptu podcast in about an hour. For those of you who do want to follow along with us as we continue our assault on good taste and tympanic membranes, we're now available in iTunes. Steve Jobs loves us!
Lastly, Will Muschamp was saying things earlier this week. Things about Tubs. Things about Gideon. Etc.

Nothing like a good Longhorn Bob reference on a Friday. God… it’s scary to think how many years since that fraud (or myth of a fraud) went down.

You have not been forged from a hotter fire, SynTex.

It’s a good thing they don’t show reverse angles on the guys Muschamp is glaring at.

SynTex had a mental breakdown after 24 years of trying to solve Fermat’s Last Theorem day in, day out and then that British fag beat him to the punch. He has since redirected his efforts towards the BCS and we’re the better for it.
Win-Win.
Please get Peter Bean heavily intoxicated before the podcast. It’s not easy to do, but after the year he’s had PB could really use a Trips Right-style Friday happy hour by now. Rub & Tug optional.

PB is one of the more amazing multi-taskers I’ve ever met.

CloseToJumping murdered him. With a bottle of silly string.
I wiped my ass with a few pages on his book with general principle.

Ok, CTJ didn’t murder him. I lied. That’s just how the scenario plays out in my mind every few quarters.

Longhorn Bob’s long-suffering dad is still practicing obstetrics in Longview (insert Spock-with-a-beard universe abortion joke here). I’m sure anyone who wanted to do an article on that guy could start there, if they wanted.

Been there, done that. Before happy houring with TR, be sure and clear your schedule. Lunchtime drinks will have you running through your “get out of work excuses real quick.”

“PB is one of the more amazing multi-taskers I’ve ever met.”
It appears so. I read on another thread how much that guy has on his plate. It makes me feel like a lazy sack of shit .
Multi-tasking, as defined by mbv: Anything that you do while also holding a beer.

Muschamp said ’y’all’ at the end. Longhorn for life, IMO.

Surprisingly, ball hawk is in the OED as both noun (from 1917) and verb (from 1940). (Who knew?)
No information there as to the first UT player it was applied to, though he was probably a Flying Dutchman.

Southerner for life. Not a Texas-specific word.

This was before I started paying attention. Can somebody give me the cliff notes?

I was fetching coffee and missed the inside joke. Tote Bag for the first to reveal.

Wheeler’s book has a 5-star rating on Amazon.com. Based on one review. By Bob Wheeler. And it starts off “Just kidding…”
