It’s Not Nice To Fool Touchdown Jesus

First, Michigan State defeats Notre Dame 34-31 in overtime with a perfectly planned -- and executed -- fake field goal.

Then a couiple of hours later, Spartan coach Mike Dantonio suffers a mild heart attack.

Dantonio was admitted into a East Lansing hospital after complaining of chest pains. Doctors placed a stent in a blocked artery near his heart, and Dantonio was "resting comfortably" Sunday.

Dantonio is expected to make a full recovery, and offensive coordinator Don Treadwill will coach in his absence. The Spartans host Northern Colorado next Saturday while Notre Dame hosts #17 Stanford.

Surprised nobody brought up the fact the play clock had expired by a full second. Big balls call by Dantonio.

Apparently the back judge is the guy who’s supposed to be watching the play clock. If he sees it go to zero, then he checks to see if there has been a snap. If not, there’s a flag. But here, on a FG attempt, he’s under a goal post. Hard to see for sure from about 40 yards away.

Best to Dantonio.

Kick ass play and Kelly’s expression at the handshake was pure class and awesomeness. Love Kelly.

That was exactly my reaction, Sailor. I don’t like liking the ND coach, but that reaction’s going to go a long way for me.

You might fool the fucks in the league office, but you don’t fool Touchdown Jesus.

Best to Dantonio as well. That was a ballsy call. Being on the wrong end of it was a kick in the junk but that’s how it goes sometimes. I am looking forward to Kelly getting ND to the point where that sort of thing happens a lot less often. The arrow is still pointing up in South Bend.

The officals were out of the Big East so they would not be in Michigan State favor, the Big East Conference said that it was the right call, according to them there is a lag time that allows for that call. And does anyone really think that God was piss at Michigan State for beating N.D. I think N/D will go 6/6 this year and next year they will go 9/3. Takes time for a new system to jell.

Are you sure that you have the details straight? I’ve read a number of articles that contradict what you mentioned here, so I do not know what to believe.
