This Interview Is Over, Get To Steppin'
Good glimpse into the team dynamic here courtesy of Texassports.com.
Garrett Gilbert, the next Michael Vick. Being QB at UT could lend itself easily to being a jerk. Gilbert is the polar opposite.
Malcolm Williams, featuring the world's worst dance move (done much more expertly by Morris Day in the early 80s while manservant Jerome held his mirror - see Purple Rain).
Blake Gideon is a cool guy with a self-deprecating sense of humor. Close talker + happy about knocking out Keenan + Hard hat sarcasm = win.
Kheeston is a good dude his own self. It's a lot more fun to root for players that are likable.
Just ask a Florida fan.

I know Mal has had some drops but damn if he didn’t have a huge impact on SAT’s game with those two punt team kills. They may have been wortth more than the 4 he cost us.
Love his effort on special teams. He’s been doing it for a while.

With all the issues we’ve had on punt returns, why doesn’t Malcolm do it? Am I the only one that wishes we’d find a way to get him more touches?

punt returns, why doesn’t Malcolm do it?
Dropping punt >>>>> worse than dropping pass?

Malcolm will make an NFL squad one day just on special teams ability.
Blake Gideon will make on hell of a corch one day.

Sydney’s right. In fact, Blake is clearly wearing a Sooner’s shirt underneath his orange shirt!!
Otherwise he seems nice, even when things go awry like KOing a teammate. If Keenan was conscious, I think he would have been like Curtis Brown in this gif:

I read the link. The tears! They taste so sweet! Nebraska will always be Scott Tenorman.

it’s good to be able to watch a texassport interview again

Isn’t it awesome. I remember hearing all about Nebraska and the ‘little eleven’, then came the first championship game. oops!
Parting is such sweet sorrow.

Damn, Winstrom is a bitter SOB for someone who had so much success in college. Who thinks their shit doesn’t stink?

Well that was all sorts of awkward. Still, better than last year when Chris Hall would get on there and cry on “Uli’s turn” or whatever it was called.
Question: is Tray Allen redshirting this year? I know he was injured during the preseason and I haven’t heard anything since.

“Question: is Tray Allen redshirting this year?”
Yep.

I like where Randall says Gilbert looked like Michael Vick, running on Saturday. Because every Longhorn knows comparisons to Vince Young are ridiculous.

Gideon is Seann William Scott in that interview.

java, thanks for the link to that article. Made my morning!
one of my favorite quotes from the quotable Mike Leach was in the famous NY Times article by Michael Lewis a few years back. As I recall, he heard that late in Tech’s blowout of the aggies, an aTm assistant coach’s wife was insulting Lubbock women somehow, and Leach’s comment was something to the effect that since Tech had just beaten them so badly, by rights she should now be a Red Raider slave. Kinda makes sense, and now, of course, it’s clear that by rights the Cornhuskers are our slaves, now and forever, body and soul. And as such, I DEMAND that they get those same ex-players together and write a follow-up article. The tears are just so sweet….

Gilbert Lewis, Lamar Latrell, and Lewis Skolnick imo. Texas football, short bus edition.

Malcolm needs to watch him some film of that Blackmon kid at OK State. That kid is a beast and no reason Malcolm could not be the same. It’s a battle between his ears.

Glad you enjoyed it, guys. I laughed until the tears and mascara ran down down my cheeks when I read it. We’ve been promised so much by Big Red, and yet…
Oh well, didn’t mean to go MIA, but work has been dominating the days and some of the evenings.
Less time to wallow in pain we suffered in Lincoln last Saturday, oh wait, we won!
Hook ’em!

Gilbert looked like any engineer from the ECJ basement in that interview. Is the hair below the bill of the cap look back? Childhood revisited, imo.

A very common reason that husbands seem to show more love to their wives because the woman moved her attention to her children.
