The podcast gets substantially better when Sailor Ripley has to leave for an appointment and Peter and I are able to talk about his passion for Japanese anime.

All that talk about Vince Young and staying hungry inspired me to book a reservation at VY’s new steakhouse for Saturday night.
Thanks for the chat guys.

You guys nailed me when you mentioned the people calling for Rick’s head last year and loving him this year. He did exactly what none of us thought he was capable of — intrapersonal examination and adaptation. If Mack does the unexpected (fire Greg Davis), we will love him again too. We are fickle.

You mean if Mack actually does what he is getting paid $5.0M to actually fucking do and act in tbe best interst of the program?
When did the definition of fickle mutate to become “one who holds someone accountable for their job performance”?

Very good conversation.
Truest thing I heard was when Sailor said he thought that almost any smart, ambitious OC with a sensible system should do just fine at Texas. Their is enough talent in this state that we should be able to recruit to fit most any system. Simply having a coherent system will be a welcome change.

Can’t stand that d-bag. Who is PB anyways? And why the hell would anyone care what he says?

How long does it take for your podcast to show up on iTunes? Been trying to download for a couple of hours and no joy. That ain’t right!

J’Gray –
PB runs Burnt Orange Nation. A fine blog. He is an attorney, a husband, a son, an American. I care about what he says because he’s smart and he likes Torchy’s tacos. What else would you like to know?
Interested -
I will get Sailor on this. Dude has been cutting his 14 hour days to 12 recently and it’s irritating me.

I’m assuming he went to Law School at Texas?
I’d also like to know why his opinion in anything to do with sports should be taken more seriously than, say, my sister. It’s funny, because she’s a lawyer too, and went to Texas, but when it comes to knowing anything about sports, that is irrelevant. Nor does she have the audacity to act like she knows what’s better for a program than the coaches within it. There’s quite a few people right now who are trying to launch themselves into blogdom behind this terrible season. Such a great time to come from under the woodpile and prove to everyone how much smarter they are than the Texas coaches. Give me a break, these nobody-ran blogs need to be removed from the internet. Nothing more than a group of posers spatting nonsense that has no more substance and know-how than an anti-marijuana commercial.

Great post, you should blog!!
Fascism and pro-legalization all in one comment, that’s what keeps me coming back I tell you.

That’s the beauty of it J’G. You can decide none of us know shit and not come back. We’re both likely better off.
