Great pic of all the kids in burnt orange jerseys. What a trooper she is. It’s amazing how resilient children can be. But bless her heart for still enduring that PICC line. I hope she leaves it all behind and before long will be running with the wind.
We’ve got a little 7 week old that already occupies a big chunk of my mental efforts. Even though I’m all too familiar with the range of things that can happen, right now I can’t imagine the challenge if I suddenly found out my own had a life threatening illness. You are very strong parents and Raylee is better for it.

What triplehorn said. We have a newborn (12 days old) and she’s a more than a handful for us. As he said, I don’t know how I’d cope if we found out something was wrong with her. All the best and God bless.

Great news. And what a happy little one in the picture.

Congrats to triplehorn and spit and tears.
Raylee truly is one of the happiest babies I’ve ever seen. If she thinks life is good now, wait until the hospital trips are a thing of the past and life becomes normal.
Also, KB has one of the most kick ass wives ever. I just love that family.

Great to hear Kevin. Thanks for the update Sailor.
As a father with a special needs daughter I know life doesn’t always work out the way you thought it would. You do the best you can. It sounds like your family is doing that and then some! I’m glad this community could help.

It’s wonderful to hear the good news of her progress.
Children are the most precious things in life. A blessing from God and a little piece of heaven here on earth. I pray things continue to go well.

Every so often, I’m reminded of the power and force of focused love and prayer. Raylee is one such reminder, and I’m truly grateful for her. I’m also grateful that the Berger clan was willing to share the experience with all of us and give us the chance to share our prayers, love, and support. They even let a Sooner kick in. Talk about gracious…

All you hope for as a parent is to have healthy children. Luckily, I have three. We spent a short 6 days in the NICU with our third, and I got a first hand look at the struggles some endure. Having close friends who lost a 2.5 year old to cancer after a year and a half at St. Jude also opened my eyes.
Stories like Raylee’s make me sad and happy at the same time. I’m so glad to hear that she is well on the way to a happy and healthy life. She is a beautiful little girl.
Best to the Berger family!!!

Good to hear, especially since I was tracking a private plane out of Intercontinental yesterday afternoon on its way to Austin. I had heard Raylee was in line to take over S&C at Texas and teach those kids what toughness is all about.
KB, I’m so happy that Raylee is doing better and getting closer to normal.
Hook ’em!

Glad to hear that. We’re expecting number nine next summer (yes, I know) and we have a little 13 month old gir as well. I’m so happy she is doing well and will continue to pray for the best for her. God Bless!

Kevin & Rhenee – that sure is a good looking bunch of Texas bred kids you’ve got there. Modern medicine is a miracle worker but so is the Big Coach upstairs. Know that prayers have been plentiful for Little Rhenee’s welfare in the Stampede household so it is certainly great to learn of her progress.
And congratulations to all with new children. It is refreshing to hear the pride in parenthood. Hang tight to the here and now because before you know it they will be out of the house and off on their life journey as one of mine has done and the other coming up soon.

Best post EVER on this blog.
So happy to hear Raylee is doing so well and is now able to get on with the business of being a normal toddler. She is such a trouper. And such a wonderful family. Kevin and Rhenee, God bless you and all your kids. Just so thrilled that things have worked out so well, and continued prayers that they’ll continue to do so. To God be the glory.
I agree with many of the others above, must be something in the air…who’d have thought the damn allergies would be acting up this time of the year?

Regarding the prevailing allergies in this blog….it must be the highest count of cedar pollen in the air in the last 7 years. No worries, the latest cold front will be clearing them for the weekend. :-)

Great news :) May she be blessed with nothing but health from here on.

My highlight of the UConn game was meeting Kevin Berger. I was refilling a water bottle before the second half (yes, I am that cheap) and he asked who I was because of my BC t-shirt.
It was a real privilege to meet the best college basketball writer on the internet.
Blessing to you and yours, Trips Right.
