No, It's Not THAT Tristan Thompson
Sometimes teh internet can really suck at reporting.
For instance, NBAdraft.net reported earlier today that Texas freshman Tristan Thompson was turning pro and had already hired an agent.
ORLY?
It seems that another TT - a guard from North Texas, is turning pro.

Rest easy Horn fans, you don't need to worry about THIS Tristan Thompson turning pro.

I read this news four days ago and the doctor says I’m going to be fine with a little rest.

I hereby retract my earlier post on “A Kansas Jayhawk looks . . .” thread.
God I love this site.

Considering this Tristan had 4 years of college ball, it would be more correct to say that he was turned pro – like it happened to him rather than the voluntary act of an underclassman.
I’ll bet the author can’t get their and they’re right, either.

This reminds me of the time I was travelling through France and mistook a bidet for a water fountain.

You and Crocodile Dundee.
Let’s hope this story stays inaccurate.

FWIW, Mom says nothing has happened.

"I didn’t sign anything," Andrea Thompson said by phone from Canada. "We didn’t sign anything. I don’t know where this is coming from. We didn’t talk about anything yet. He’s going to finish this season. We’re just relaxing."
She added: "Tristan can’t sign. I’m his mom. Tristan is not old enough to sign. He just turned 20. I’m pretty sure you have to be 21."
I don’t know what the age of majority is in Canada, but Thompson could sign a binding contract in Texas any time.

If I’m reading horninexile correctly, the bigger story is Jai Lucas is turning pro.
If our boys come back to school I’ll be geeked about basketball in ways I haven’t been since MJ was hooping. Fingers crossed.
Apparently Sullinger’s dad came out and said “you can put it in stone” that his son will be back at an Ohio State University.

Will it compare to the spring game, Magnus?

Allah Ho Akbar – may the Bountiful Allah grant wisdom to the Thompson family to make the right decision for them and Longhorn Land!

Ha! No, Bob, nothing compares to the Spring Game. It’s football. IN THE SPRING! And it’s a reason to get my ass back to Austin. I hear nordberg is throwing a tailgate.
Bob, I nominate you to do the “A Longhorn looks at Bill Self and Kansas Hoops” rebuttal.

He’ll test the waters and get some opinions (which he should) before he decides to sign.
Also, where’s that idiot who was equating Brad Stevens to Tom Penders?

FWIW, the reporter says he’s got the right TT.
