Big 12 Baseball Tourney Day Two: Taylor Jungmann vs Baylor Bears
Early first pitch at 9 a.m. as Baylor and Texas try to battle their way out of the loser's bracket. Or, Texas mails in another to start preparing for the Regionals....
I wouldn't be surprised at any result and neither will Augie. Know this going into it, mock Baylor accordingly, and smile knowingly if we lose another close one.
Master plan, imo.
The bigger question is whether the attendance eclipses the temperature.
Tune in to the gripping action!
1-0 Baylor in the top of the 3rd. Texas has two on base with one out.
There are only a few chances left to catch #26 in a college uniform. Don't miss out.

There’s plenty of time left. DJ Monroe is only a junior.

That might not happen even if measured on the Celsius scale. Based on the stadium shorts, there are more active commenters on this thread than fans in the seats.

What should have been a double play results in men on 1st and 2nd with no outs.

A live correspondent is needed: I nominate BrickHorn in Bricktown.

And bases loaded for Texas again. The Texas baserunner was out at second base by at least five feet on that would be DP. SAFE!
/these aren’t the droids you’re looking for Augie hand wave.

2-1 Texas. two run single by cohl walla walla. Still two on with no out.
FIER ETIER at the plate.

Loy rips a double down the third base line, two more score.
nordberg, that has to be the assumption because the runner wasn’t even close to beating the tag.

It sure looked like he was out. But it’s difficult to tell from the behind-the-plate angle whether the Baylor player’s foot was off the bag.

Is the announcer on the Big 12 Network using that voice so he doesn’t wake those in attendance?

Am I still drunk or did this game really start at 9 am?

What are stadium shorts and where can I get a pair?

Damn. I didn’t need to see that this early in the morning. Can we get the Baylor girl on the left to wear a tarp?

I have no idea. But if they’re made of seersucker, patchwork madras or salmon-colored fabric with little embroidered lobsters on them, Vasherized has about three dozen pairs.

You shut your damned trap!

Why do the stands look like a casting call for extras for a George Romero movie?

Perhaps history’s most awkward high-five miss just occurred on first base.

For some reason I lost it at “little embroidered lobsters”.

Fly ball to right field. Camera close-up on dead center field.

That Bigfoot picture is still one of the best things on the Intrawebs.

Routine one hit complete game for Jungmann. Some help from the umps, but it’s Baylor, so fuck ’em.
Our first win in the Big 12 tournament since 2008. Should we pull for Mizzou against Okie Lite since the sight of the Tigers in the post season seems to put us into a trance? On the other hand, if we play Missouri tomorrow, we’d only have to beat them once. It’s a delimma.

Jungmann retired 16 straight batters at one point in the game. one hit on 130 pitches. Now he’s got a 5-6 days to rest before his start in the Regionals.
We’d rather play the fewest amount of games in OKC, so we want Mizzou.

Delimma (sp?) solved. However, I wouldn’t mind seeing us win one more to (1) get Cole’s confidence up and (2) help lock down a Super. Other than that, meh.

Normally I do not read post on blogs, however I wish to say that this write-up very pressured me to take a look at and do it! Your writing taste has been amazed me. Thank you, quite great article.
