Greg Timmons to Transfer
It looks like Timmons is taking his talents (consisting primarily of a smooth high-top fade) on to Grambling State.
Buried deep on an underwhelming depth chart at WR, this move comes as no surprise. This gets us to 86 scholarship with more attrition likely to come. More importantly, it opens up another spot for the 2012 class.
Who would you like to see get an offer?

Is our depth chart at WR really underwhelming? A top five of Mike Davis, Jaxon Shipley, Marquise Goodwin, Malcolm Williams, and Darius White strikes me as pretty damn good.

Statistically, it’s very underwhelming.
Davis is a stud. Shipley just got here, Goodwin runs track in the offseason, Williams is a headcase, and White is still raw.
Upside? Plenty.

I thought Williams’ problem was that he’s a hand case.

If Goodwin is truly serious about making the Olympic team for 2012 in London he is going to need to skip the 2011 season to focus on the long jump. As good as he is he is not currently among the top 4-5 in his event in this country and to make that team is basically going to require he focus on the event.
As a receiver last year I thought he regressed, but that is redundant if you are coached by Bobby Kennedy and not named Jordan Shipley or Quan Cosby.
Davis is going to be a star and I thought his injury really hurt this team last year, Darius White had 1 catch so who knows what to expect from him in 2011. Jaxon has great bloodlines, but he has never had to face a college cornerback and Malcolm has regressed the past few years.

I agree about Goodwin. He is not going to play in the NFL. Quan Cosby he is not. So he should focus on the sport he truly excels at.
Allow myself to introduce….myself.
