Seen enough yet?
- With two games left to play this season, Texas' record stands at 21-15 since 2010.
- Our record at home over that time period is 10-9 overall and 4-8 in conference play.
- Mack Brown makes $5 million per year and is due for his annual $500K raise.
What kind of coach are you shopping for on this Black Friday? Because the one that just left town to head back to Fort Worth is pretty damn good.
Is Gary Patterson caustic with the media? Sure.
Could he handle the added political pressure that comes with coaching at Texas? Who knows.
Would he have his team prepared every week to win that football game. Hell yes.
He brought a team to Austin led by a freshmen QB with limited passing skills who was on the RB depth chart just three months ago, along with a roster depleted of 20 players due to suspension and injury before the season, and returned home to Fort Worth with yet another program-defining win. TCU is 5-1 on the road in its first year of Big 12 play. Patterson has six wins over top ten opponents since taking over at TCU. He is 4-1 in his last five games against top 5-ranked teams.
At this point, I'm not even looking for the right "fit". I just want a coach who wins football games and holds his players and staff accountable.
