Per the Northeast recruiting expert Adam Zagoria.
Gibbs' decision wasn't a surprise, as he had expressed interest in being closer to his family. His father is suffering from an illness. Because of that issue, Gibbs may apply to the NCAA for a hardship waiver in order to be immediately eligible next season. If not, he'll become eligible starting in the 2013-14 season after sitting out a year.
As for those Pirates fans expecting Gibbs to be the savior at point guard...well, no comment.
Best of luck to Gibbs in his new home.
