While Kohlhausen is not a splash transfer, he could prove invaluable in preventing a disastrous season if the Longhorns lose David Ash and raw Tyrone Swoopes doesn't develop complementary traits to his big arm. He's probably not worse than what we rolled out in most of our games in 2013.
As a walk-on, Kohlhausen won't count against the Longhorn scholarship limit. He has two years of remaining eligibility.
