Set your DVRs: Replay of FAU game
The jocks at Fox Sports finally figured out how to remerchandize their stash of Big 12 games, so they are rolling out Big 12 No-Huddle this season. You essentially get their broadcast with all of the time cut from the whistle to the next snap. The entire game is shown in one hour. Just like the old Host Communications VHS tapes games back in the day.
Apparently, they already showed the game Sunday morning but I managed to snooze right through it.
1 PM Central Monday on Fox Southwest
Other Big 12 games that they are showing in this format:
Chattanooga @ Oklahoma - You mean I get to see what Sam Bradford looks like when lightening is in the area?
Colorado State vs. Colorado
Western Michigan @ Nebraska
Oklahoma State @ Washington State
And no, you sick bastards, they are not showing the Arkansas State/Texas A&M epic battle.
For showtimes, hit up the RUWT? website.

I caught the Sunday morning broadcast. Whoever edited it is an idoit. The second drive of the game (the 80-yarder, which involved passes to Irby, Chiles, etc) is not shown. Instead, they show the entire “official’s review” of Vondrell’s non-fumble.
…and for something called “No Huddle” they sure do show a lot of between play standing around while the commentators make inane observations.

Is that Bill Byrne?

I caught it yesterday. So/so. They only showed a couple plays from the first defensive stand. After that it was all offense. They could have done a much better time editing out the fat too. For example, you get to sit through the challenge of Oyngoboyngo at goal line. You also won’t see much from Chiles.

They’ve got the lowest intern on the totem pole working late on a Saturday night to put that thing together. It won’t ever be good.

Really horrible job editing. You can watch the highlights on Macks site and get the exact same product in about 3 minutes.
1) Don’t show replays or challenges
2) Go to the next play as soon as the whistle is blown
3) Don’t show PAT’s

Yeah, this is pretty bad but I’ll take it. Damn near got a safety there.

Observations the second time around: 1. FAU is pretty bad. 2. An offense built around Colt running the ball is unworkable. 3. The Q package is ineffective. 4. J Norton could start for any team in the country, except ours. Brilliant coaching. 5. Irby is pretty good

I’m personally shocked SHOCKED! that the cluster flux package is ineffective. Who could have guessed?
