What Would Mark Richt Do?
Given the high brow discussion regarding how Stoops handled Dvoracek and how Brown handled Andre Jones, I found it interesting that Urban Legend Meyer was faced with a similar scenario.
You see, Ronnie Wilson fired an AK 47 into the air to end a skirmish in a parking lot. He ultimately pled down the charges to misdemeanors and while on suspension from the team, supposedly failed a piss test.

Switzer rates him a 6 star.
But now, Florida is in desperate need of DTs, so Ronnie is being given a chance to walk-on at DT.
Hat tip to EDSBS for calling his bull shit move.
What Mark Richt would do?

Remember when I was an all-world DT for UF during their MNC season, and I kept flunking piss tests and Urban Meyer kept giving me second chances to the point where the only games I wasn’t suspended for was the tough four game in-conference stretch in the middle of the season, and then after the fourth game I magically flunked another (possibly my 5th) and was kicked off the team?
Yeah, this is standard operating procedure for Meyer.

Is that a prison uniform or a Gator workout shirt?

Gary Pinkel summarily dismissed Marquis Booker second team LB for brandishing a pistol last spring in the parking lot of an apartment complex in a dispute. No shots fired. Game set and match –he was gone. If you can’t have a “zero tolerance” with guns you are either asking for trouble or pretty gutless since we aren’t talking victimless crimes here,

Mark Richt would’ve touched his forehead and cured his urine of any impurities.

I highly recommend reading the comments in the EDSBS article. Some dude makes 30+ posts equating a 300 pounder cruising the town with his AK and finding occasion to use it with getting a DUI.
It’s record-setting homerism on the same level as all the posts saying “let’s wait until we get all the facts in on Ramonce and his enormous piles of weed before we judge, I have a feeling there is more to this story” that we had to put up with on hornfans.
