The Worldwide Leader must have had this gem ready for any slow day (i.e. no salicious Roger stories broke). There is nothing new (Leach likes pirates), save maybe some new pictures.
“The object was to get a treasure. If the captain did a bad job, you could just overthrow him.”
That means win a championship.
I did […]

The Big 12 had its worse draft ever. Even Mike Reinfeldt and Jeff Fisher think so. It took 36 selections before the second Big 12 player was drafted. This is from a conference with four of Top 10 in the final AP rankings. Pathetic.
Powerhouse programs like Troy, Vanderbilt, Delaware, and Tennessee […]

Next year’s basketball team will have more 4s and 5s than Sooner binary.
This is a problem. A good problem.
So let’s conjecture unfairly as to which of them might be transferring or redshirting and which will be making many two point dunk shots on gametracker.
First, the possible return of Damion James - […]

Sean Sutton has been fired by Oklahoma State. He violated his contract’s ‘no sweat’ clause or something.
Most people saw this coming the day he was hired, and his Wikipedia entry has already been updated. The guy was in over his head.
He’ll now find an assistant’s job somewhere or become the spokesperson for Mitchum Deodorant.

This will be a quick hitter as I’m geared for the selection show. Here are the first half thoughts. I’m glad I could piss off the Mario Chalmer gods.
Pittman played some quality minutes. We need to figure out a way to get him involved in the pivot.
Abrams tweaked something in the last […]

First of all regardless of outcome, we belong. We’re easily one of the top 4 teams in America
Justin Mason kept us in the game early. Justin fucking Mason
DJ and Damion James are making themselves some money and have answered every haymaker the Jayhawks have thrown at us.
Took Kansas’ best shot and lived to […]

So who said it was difficult to beat a team 3 times in one season? Whoever it was the Longhorns weren’t listening. In a ho-hum workmanlike fashion the top seeded Texas Longhorns controlled and finally finished off the OSU Cowboys 66-59 to advance to the semifinals of the Big 12 tournament. The […]

Second half coming up. First half was pretty much what you’d expect from Texas-OSU.
Texas stats: 11-22 from the field (6-11 from 3), 4-7 from the line, 11 rebounds (1 offensive); OSU stats: 12-28 from the field (4-13 from 3), 5-11 from the line, 17 rebounds (8 offensive).
Going by those lines, I suppose I should […]

The Statesman’s Kirk Bohls says that at some point Texas will create their own sports network possibly “within a year or so.”
Apparently Fox owns most of the Big 12’s non-revenue sports, but they aren’t going to create a Big 12 network. So Deloss Dodds says Texas could potentially show their non-televised games and other stuff. […]
