52-10 will look pretty damn good from any angle in DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium-Joe Jamail Field-Taco Bell Jumbotron, but the intitial impression from seats dead in the middle of the new north endzone addition, is that it is a great place to watch a game from.
You are close enough to the action that the players don’t […]

Some things I’ll be looking for from the Longhorns on my birthday today, which I think will go a long way to determining how good this team will be for the rest of the year:
Can our offensive line get a real push on a very mediocre and undersized defensive line? - If we can’t run […]

PSA: I suspect some of the Barkers will Liveblog the game this SAT. Tune in for more information if you feel you might want some additional commentary, insight, snide remarks, caviling, name calling, finger pointing, and other general bad behavior.
Special halftime guests may include Howard Schenllenberger, Bill Little and Jose Nassar.

“Texas is just a name”
H/T to Bevo Beat blog at the Statesmen
EDIT:
In case you forgot, Howard Schnellenberger Gets a Bum Rap.
“Texas will never be a physically tough team.”
That video surfaced after his original comments made the web and his line, “That wasn’t my comment.”

The most important matchup on Saturday is going to be Florida Atlantic quarterback Rusty Smith against the new and hopefully improved Texas defense. Smith was the Sun Belt Conference player of the year, and he probably has an NFL future.
Don’t believe me? Then let’s ask Howard Schnellenberger:
“Based on the quarterbacks that I have had the […]

In a scrimmage last Wednesday, they lost two offensive linemen on the same play. Both center Nick Paris and guard Kevin Miller were injured and are considered doubtful for the Texas game. Tackle John Rizzo was held out of their Saturday scrimmage because of sore ribs, but he is expected to play against Texas.
“Body blow! […]

I see a lot of posts poking fun at Schnelly for being a drinking man. Is that really fair? Where does this reputation come from? I’ve pondered this issue, and despite Howard’s current antics I have come to think that this is an unfair characterization.
First, let’s review Schnelly’s history. He was recruited by Bear Bryant […]

And they plan on building another one next Wednesday.
Says they started it with diesel fuel. And by ‘diesel fuel’ they mean whatever they wrung out of Howard Schnellenberger’s shirt after he passed out on the practice field.

When the north temple end zone was built, it was only a matter of time before He returned.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back to Austin again, seeing everyone, reaching out to the community with my foundation event and cheering on my team,” Young said. “I was speechless when they told me about the jersey […]

Howard Schnellenbeger has never lacked for confidence, and he has never been shy about expressing it. Howard thinks his Florida Atlantic Owls will be good this year, good enough to come into Austin and win. Of course he also thinks that the Longhorns are a bunch of wussies
The Owls were 8-5 last year, won the […]
