Jim Tressel has coached in over 40 post-season games at Youngstown State and Ohio State, but he says the upcoming Fiesta Bowl against Texas has him as excited as getting a new sweater vest for Christmas.
Jim Tressel can’t wait for next Monday.

Inspired by our abortive effort in utilizing the McCoy/Chiles Q package (which Barking Carnival Readers dubbed The Cluster Flux) word out of Ohio is that we may see Todd Boeckman on the field at the same time as Terrelle Pryor. Think of the kinetic energy that will crackle when the 240 pound Boeckman and […]

Bowl Test
We’re playing Ohio State in La Fiesta and that can only mean:
a). a clash of traditional powers
b). a plethora of fat pasty drunks with goatees endlessly spelling the name of their state in Scottsdale bars
c). Ohio State men doing that as well

Or as Ohio State coach Jim Tressell says, “People there should understand when I say Tim Beckman is tornadic.”
Story in today’s Daily Oklahoman has the details.
When he was secondary coach at Western Carolina, he head butted one of his players in the helmet during pre-game and drew blood.
When he lost a game of […]

If you play for Ohio State, your chances of winning an award goes up. I’m not talking about national awards, nor am I talking about the kind of year end awards that are handed out at football banquets. Like at say Texas.
I’m talking about awards that Ohio State hands out after every game. They have the […]

Some Ohio State fans are capable of decent behavior. While you’re picking yourself up off the floor, allow me to clarify. No, not to opposing fans. But to each other.
Buckeye fan Kevin John can attest to this. He lost his camera at the Ohio St - Youngstown St game on September 1st. The camera contained pictures […]
