Oklahoma freshman Britt Mitchell supposedly quit the team during the summer and joined the marines. Not quite. He actually transferred to UTEP.
“I just didn’t enjoy it up there” in Norman, Mitchell said. “Since I’ve been here at UTEP I’ve loved every minute of it. I like it a lot better here.”
No one likes El […]

Stoops met with the media yesterday and offered his thoughts on OU’s schedule.
“Schedule-wise, we have a challenging non-conference, which is as exciting as it is challenging and our guys realize that they are going have to be able to play early. The Big 12 schedule is what it is. I don’t ever think from one […]

Josh Jarboe is a freshman wide receiver for Oklahoma. He was arrested back in March for receiving stolen property and having a gun at school, but the charges were later dropped.

Turns out the Nebraska fan who posted the fake internet story about Sam Bradford and Landry Jones works for UT. This part of the story was actually broken in our comments section yesterday making it the first and only time we will break anything. Unless ChrisApplewhite dunks.
James W. Conradt is the manager of UT’s computing […]

So yesterday a Cornhusker fan created a fake news story using The Oklahoman’s website that said OU qbs Sam Bradford and Landry Jones were arrested for selling cocaine. I saw the link posted on another site, and it took me all of two seconds to determine it was fake. I was soon joined by all […]

I’m concerned that this review of cheating in recruiting is too Southwest-centric. I’m sure the SEC is full of great cheating lore and examples; it’s just that the SWC cases are so much more…blatant. You have the combination of a rich talent pool fished by several programs, along with fiercely competitive boosters loaded with cash. […]
