Vegas Kyle’s write up on the Hawkeyes putting a licking on the Cocks.
Iowa -4 over south carolina
This is the story of two teams with opposite perception from not just the betting public but the college football public in general. Iowa is an under the radar covering machine that I have been backing since the early […]

Ok, its been more than 24 hours and I have had time to collect my thoughts and come to grips with the fact that my Georgia Bulldogs nearly blew it against the Gamecocks. The same Gamecock team that has lost consecutive games to Vanderbilt nearly toppled the nation’s number 2 ranked team. Of […]

The beauty of the unexpected bye week is that it gave us all an opportunity to see a lot more football on TV than most game weeks.
I learned the following:
Josh Nesbitt of Georgia Tech may be the best sophomore QB you haven’t heard about. That’s probably because he plays for Georgia Tech. Think […]

The Golf Prick rankings for this week haven’t been as high since Steve Spurrier was wrecking shit in the golf course mecca of Florida. Be sure to check the weekly blogpoll.
1. Bob Stoops - takes the top spot with a #2 team ranking
2. Gary Pinkel - making a strong appearance at #3
3. Urban Meyer […]

In a move that surprises no one except for Jesse Palmer, the Original Golf Prick and Head Ball Coach Steve Spurrier (OGP or HBC) has yanked starting QB Tommy Beecher and said that Chris Smelley will start at quarterback for South Carolina against Vanderbilt on Thursday night.
Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier said he made the decision […]

Spurrier went out and hired former Atlanta Falcons linebackers coach Brian VanGorder as his defensive coordinator at South Carolina.
This is the guy I wanted more than any other at Texas, and Chris Applewhite is inconsolable at this point.
VanGorger was outstanding at Georgia and apparently wanted to get back to the SEC.
Spurrier first […]

As the college season makes the turn for the home stretch, it is clearly time to start talking about who gets whacked — particularly given this weekend’s Battle of the Buyouts in Lincoln. This year’s coaching carousel seems destined to be as bloody as the last 6 episodes of the Sopranos.
Yeah, I’ll fucking […]

South Carolina has decided to clarify their admission standards. The clarification was naturally prompted by a rant from South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier. Spurrier was upset that two of his signees didn’t make it into school.
“As long as I’m the coach here, we’re going to take guys that qualify,” Spurrier said Aug. 5. “If not, […]

The title change says it all. Yep, last week 3-3 minus one unit as I lost my first big play of the year on CSU. Just once I’d like to be on the right side of a two point conversion. Still undefeated at 5-0 on Big 12 POW games. Overall, I’m […]

Seriously. When was the last time that happened? Probably never. When will it happen again? Probably never. You will always remember where you were and what you were doing the day you heard the score. Like the day Kennedy got shot.
“You guys have seen this game for how many years? What’d it mean?” South Carolina’s […]

South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier went and replaced his starting quarterback. Again. Why is this news? It’s news because, uh, ok it’s not really news.
The latest to get the Spurrier yank (Urban Dictionary entry pending) is senior Blake Mitchell. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to Mitchell as he was benched last season as well. Freshman […]
