Arkansas Just Remembered It Left It’s Iron On
They’ve backed out of our 2009 return trip to Fayettville, because they don’t want to play both Texas and Texas A&M in the same season. I guess UA’s athletic department doesn’t watch much Aggie football.
It’s fine with me. ‘08 Arkansas shouldn’t be very good, losing 70% of their offense to the NFL. And maybe by 2014 Greg Davis will have found a new job.
I hope Sam Houston St. has an open date that weekend.

My guess is that this move is based on a decision by Arkansas and TAMU to emphasize their new series, and to promote it as bigger than Arkansas/Texas. I think they really intend to make recruiting inroads on Texas and OU. If they are unsuccessful, I imagine the series won’t last long.

I’m violently against scheduling Arkansas. But if you’ve scheduled them and you’re pretty damn certain you’ve got the better team, play them. Don’t reshedule it 5 years down the road when you have no idea what each team will look like.

This needs to be sooner. I don’t think I can take another 6 losses to OU.

People who are “violently against scheduling Arkansas” are pussies.
There I said it.

Playing Arkansas gets you nothing:
If you win, everyone goes: “Well I should certainly hope so”
If you lose, everyone goes: “Douchebag”
Plus the hicks usually take a couple of good recruits home with them.
There I said it.

why should we lose to Arkansas?
Why shouldn’t we be called douchebags for losing to any lesser program?

Do you have any idea what jet fuel costs now?
