Thanks.

Though I still have my doubts that a single solecism evens the scale with Oklahoma.

You know how people sometimes say "don't quit your day job?"

You should probably do the opposite of that.

"The prices aren’t too high nor too low."

And you make fun of Oklahoma??

It explains why Missourians make fun of those from Oklahoma AND Baja Oklahoma.

Entertaining read, though. Thanks.

So is the portait of David Carr the cover of last Sundays's menu? The Titans certainly ate that one up! Bon Appetit

Thanks for the kind replies.

I realized this morning that I think the punter is a team captain, not the kicker. Which is even more telling if you think about it.

The Finnegan hit makes more sense now. The guy Smith should be mad at is Carr, and probably is. I noticed they left him out of the post game quotes, probably got tired of deleting bleeps.

I have no idea why VY isn't running when its wide open like that, or forcing bad throws instead of taking off. My gut suspicion is its his stubborness. For all of the humility talk, when it comes to his own intrinsic athletic ability he is a very prideful dude. He wants to make all the throws, and is being afforded some developmental time due to an outstanding defense and solid rushing game. That and he was never loathe to improvise before, you won't convince me Chow somehow reined him in. I think if we were playing from behind or our defense hadn't improved so much we'd see more of the old Vince. I think the cape is locked in a glass case in the field house with a Break In Case of Emergency sign on it.

At least I keep telling myself that. To believe we have any shot at the AFC Champ game I have to.

This 2007 version of the Titans is not for the weak of heart. Every game is close. If the offense had the killer instinct that the defense has, Bill Belichick would be wetting his pants right now. As it stands, NO ONE wants to play this team. The Peyton Mannings and the Tom Bradys get the headlines but team Titan quietly goes about their business of laying the lumber and doling out the slobberknockers on anyone who is in their path and I can digest a lot of spinach dip in the process. Pretty? no Effective? yes! Who gives a crap about sexy? Conservative is my mantra if it means winning 3 out of every 4 games. And tell the guy with the hoodie to watch out for #31 if he's standing close to the sidelines during the playoffs. Because our defense is bringing it!

"BTW- Is there some backstory I don’t know between Carolina and Tennessee? They fought on the same side during the Civil War, right? I’m not the most perceptive guy in the world but that looked like two teams that absolutely hate each other. Even some of the legal hits were borderline. I’m talking to you, Cortland. What’s with the Raiders/Broncos style brawl? Maybe some of the longtime Titans fans can fill me in, because on the surface it looked like more like a hockey game."

Finnegan was wired during the Oakland game and featured on "Titans All Access" last week. He said that coming from the college he did and being one of the smallest guys on the field every week, he has to go all-out. He also said on a TV interview that ran tonight that Smith asked him for a no-hit pact, then proceeded to take him out at the Carolina bench. I guess it was on after that. I also heard that post-game Smith told Finnegan that if he were a few years younger, he'd whip his @$$. Three catches for 15 yards can do that to a frustrated WR.
