re Point #2- it was obvious they wore down in the fourth quarter and were completely gassed by OT, but, they did get two stops: that "bad call on fourth and 5" was a stop. It was called wrong by the refs allowing the game to continue, but they did force an incompletion (nice gift for SD, unfortunately at our expense). And they did get the stop on SD's first possession in OT.
I guess this underscores your third point.
This was a perfect shitstorm convergence of predictable offense, worn down D, timely/untimely specials teams play, and bad officiating. And it was ugly.

Sunday's game drug me through a range of emotions during the final 45 minutes that would have given Sigmund Freud a headache. It was like one of those bizarre reoccurring nightmares where you know what's coming next and you can't wake yourself up or look away. To be there in person was one of the low points in my illustrious 50+ years of sports viewing. It reminded me of when I used to hit myself in the head with a hammer for fun because it felt so good when you stopped. Where have you gone Vince Young my bro, heaven holds a place for those who play, hey hey hey. What now Norm Chow? Has the Fisherking become completely obsessed with the all eunuch offensive scheme? These are question we must ask ouselves and each other. Either that or just carry it around like a backpack full of bowling balls. Which brings me to wonder what the players must feel like? It will be a daunting task to rally the troops after the aftermath of that debacle. Personally I'm hoping that it brings on one of those remarkable turnarounds like when a 30-1 longshot wins the derby, but then I AM a glass half full kinda guy. Thanks again Doperbo for expertly articulating those same exact feelings that the rest of us were trying to chew up and swallow with very little success.

"We’ve turned one of the most electric players in sports into Trent Dilfer, and I’m not sure why."

Nostalgia. If The Stache' had his way Steve BrokeNair would still be handing off to StumbleToe George.

I'll see if I can get some private face time with Coach Fisher and talk him in to firing Chow.

That hairless Indian play caller is ruining the franchise that Coach Fisher and I have built together.

Chow huggers are harrumphing condescendingly as I type this. A large contingent of mouth-breathing Orangeblooders (echeese, eg.) would have your scalp.

Always fun reading, Doperbo. On the money, too.

I have avoided watching any recap show for fear that I would have to see any of the game much less the Titan's effort in the 4th Quarter.

I did enjoy Tomlinson's extremely homosexual walking away as Philip Rivers sat next to him on the bench. Although I rather not listen to the commentators suck him off and continuously label him "the consummate gentleman" while acting like a complete prick the entire game. Good thing we get words like consummate when Dierdorf calls a football game by the way.

I get the be one of 18 people in attendance this weekend to watch Vince against the woeful Chiefs. If Norm can't figure out how to attack this D, then the playoffs will not be a possibility past Sunday.
