When the Swedes gave Henry Kissinger the Nobel Peace Prize in 1973, satirist Tom Lehrer said that he could no longer perform. “It was at that moment that satire died,” Lehrer said. “There was nothing more to say after that.”
Where am I going with this?
Well the NCAA has appointed OU athletic director Joe Castiglione as the chairman of a committee set up to study the progress of the Academic Progress Report (APR) as it relates to football.
So I now understand how Lehrer felt.
