Limas Sweed is out for the year

Season -ending wrist surgery.

We just lost our only deep threat at the receiver position, but Colt McCoy’s arm wasn’t strong to begin with. Will defenses even need to play Cover 2 against us now?

“I’ve aggravated it a couple of times and again last week and have probably been in more pain than I let anybody know,” Sweed said. “I spent most of the afternoon on Monday with the doctors and training staff and they said that I should go ahead and have surgery to get it taken care of, so I’m going to take their advice.

“I’m disappointed I won’t be out there playing but I’ll be around cheering on the guys and doing everything I can to help the team. I appreciate all of the support I’ve had from the coaches, doctors, trainers and all of my teammates and look forward to getting myself healthy, hopefully, for a future in the NFL.”

DE Aaron Lewis fractured his elbow against the Sooners and is out indefinitely.

I don’t wish injuries on anyone, but I could think of a few of our players/starters on the squad that would actually make us a better team if they were out for the rest of the season. Neither Sweed nor Lewis are on that list.

    Crap.

We’re not nearly as talented a Texas team as we have been in the last 4 or 5 years, nor do we seem to have the right chemisty. But we’re certainly the most snake-bit and Karma-free team in Mack’s tenure.

Maybe Huckleberry could examine that for us.

We need Pittman even more now.

First time VY raised some eyebrows by passing the ball. And a tough catch by Limas. Remember how awful our kicking game was that night?

My daughter fractured her elbow during gymnastics when she was in 3rd grade. She didn’t need an inflatable cast and a cart, though. She tried to jump rope later to prove she wasn’t really hurt, but she discovered she actually was. She sucked it up, though, and waited to go to the doctor until the next day.

Ergo, my 3rd grade daughter was tougher than Aaron Lewis.

In high school I once played in a football game while clinically dead.

    HJ is actually still funny.

This is even more reason to play Chiles at QB. We need WR’s like Quan who are willing and able to block and get out of his way.

Good riddance to Sweed. Maybe he’ll land with the Titans.

In the 9th grade, I chafed my dick on the button of my 501s while dry humping this cheerleader in the back seat of her car. I played the next day. Now that is toughness.

A female cheerleader would have let you undo the buttons.

Anyone at the game not think Lewis was going to fit in the cart? As bad as that was for him to get hurt, he completely killed the momentum that was created by the interception by laying there for 10 minutes.

Yeah, OU had to wait 10 minutes for them to cart him off the field before throwing the touchdown to Kelly.

Why hasn’t Pittman been playing since he has returned. He should have had more pt last week since in the second half we weren’t throwing to Finely for some reason. He needs to step up!
