Liveblogging Texas vs Oklahoma State
From beautiful Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Texas needs to win this game to keep their BCS hopes alive. Stop laughing.
First and foremost Texas needs to stop the Oklahoma State running game. Easier said than done? Maybe. Would have been nice to have Sergio Kindle for this game.
No idea which Oklahoma State team shows up.
McCoy said Oklahoma State’s secondary bites on the double move. What does that have to do with us?
The referee’s name is ‘Clete.’ That does not bode well.
Nice play by Brandon Foster. Cut blocked and still made the tackle.
That drive took about 2 1/2 minutes.
T Boone Pickens bought the water on the Longhorn sideline and is now charging them for it.
Kansas has put up 69 on Nebraska. First time Mark Mangino and 69 didn’t result in a woman’s suffocation.
That drive only took about 4 seconds.
The receiver only used one move on that play.
Scipio’s dog makes the tackle.
So against a team that is susceptible to the double move we run 3 outs and a swing pass.
Dallas Griffin is helped off the field. Replaced by Chris Hall.
Damn. Nice post pattern to Nate Jones, he gets hit and Ok St picks it.
Dez Bryant makes the catch after Texas spots him the ‘c,’ ‘a’ and ‘t.’
Orakpo needs to get himself under control and watch the quarterback.
Bobino misses Robinson in the backfield.
We blitz, and the OkSt runner just cuts back behind it.
OkSt mistakes Roy Miller for a linebacker and doesn’t block him. He makes the tackle for a loss.
Killibrew made a play. A good play. A play involving technique.
Kansas has now scored 76 points on Nebraska.
Zone read to the short side of the field. Nice. Someone needs to do a short side stat for Texas.
Tony Hills with another personal foul. Looked like a bullshit call.
Bubble screen on 3rd and 20 against a four man rush.
Thankfully this punt return for a td will come back. Did Cox have to make more than 1 move on that return?
Backup linebackers are in with Killibrew.
Norton got blatantly held on that play.
Muckelroy blitz leads to a small gain.
OkSt goes for it on 4th and 1 and converts.
The announcer just said ‘trickeration’ before catching himself.
They blocked Killibrew with a slot receiver on that play.
Brown is reminding the team how much the fans are against them.
Brown looks remarkably calm after that touchdown. Must like San Antonio.
Kansas is beating Nebraska 76-39. Brandon Rush has 23 points.
Iowa State beats Kansas St 31-20.
Jesse Palmer is one of the commentators. He’s so bad Steve Spurrier just yanked him in favor of Rex Grossman.
Great play by McCoy. 3rd and 2. You do have to at least hold up the defensive linemen for a second when you call a screen.
Kansas put up the most points ever against Nebraska.
Going for it on 4th and 1. We convert.
Charles with the td up the middle on the zone read. Embarrassed the safety in the open field.
OkSt fans have the same hand signals as Tech fans. There’s a surprise.
Blaine Irby just walked by with a Michael Flatly headband.
Adarius Bowman gets scared by wide open spaces and drops the pass.
OkSt isn’t waiting for the Texas defense to get set. Cheaters.
That was a fumble. Will be Texas ball after the review.
Apparently it was not reviewable.
Missed the 54 yard field goal.
Deep pass to an unopen Nate Jones. Then we call time out. We have seized the momentum!
Another busted play, another big run by McCoy. Great block by Charles.
And we fumble the snap out of the I. The I? Seriously?
Finley down the middle of the field off play action for a td. Good call, Greg. The linebacker took a single step forward and lost the underneath coverage.
Fuck you ABC for showing footage of a Mackovic defense.
Bobino realized his speed and just ran horizontally to the sidelines at the snap of the ball on that play. Good angle.
3rd and 10 for OkSt.
Wow. A simple pass in the flat to the rb, he reverses his field and gets 27 yards.
And then Bowman fumbles running downfield, and Texas recovers. Stripped by Muckelroy then Eddie Jones knocked the fuck out of him.
We go 3 and out. Damn.
Good play by Bobino.
Palmer just said the ‘linebacker crew is what kept this Texas defense sound.’
And then Ok St runs a screen for 20 yards.
Killibrew whiffs in the open field. 1st down.
Lokey is a beast. 3rd and 7 for Ok St with 58 seconds left.
Our DTs have shut down the inside zone play.
Mike Gundy reminds everyone that he’s a man, and almost fucks his team out of 3 points.
Nope, they’re going for the touchdown and catch Texas with 12 men on the field.
Play fake for a wide open touchdown.
Crushing blow. 28-14 at halftime.
Oklahoma State is 8-11 on 3rd downs.
Zach Robinson 19-26 for 220 yards at the half.
Our linebackers and defensive backs are tackling like an Akina, er Mackovic defense.
Interesting stat. In the last five games against Texas, Oklahoma State has scored a total of 7 second half points.
Our return teams’ motto is ‘Don’t fumble.’
We come out with 2 straight first downs.
Make that 3.
Listening to Jesse Palmer is like listening to the ‘Don’t taser me, Bro’ guy.
Reviewing whether or not Jacob Lacy has his 3rd interception of the game. I don’t want to live in a world where a Jacob Lacy can get 3 interceptions in a game.
And they rule it an interception.
Muckelroy makes 2 straight open field tackles. 3rd and 10.
They run the throwback yet again for an easy first down. This is a play that even Greg Davis knows about yet each time is like the first time for our defense.
Play action to Bowman for a touchdown. No one within 10 yards of him.
Robinson is 24-31 for 295.
Davis runs a reverse on 1st and 10 from our own 12. That’ll show ‘em.
Cosby drops a wide open pass that would have put us first and goal inside the 10. Someone needs to make a play. The punter does.
Our corner bites on play action, and Bowman catches a 40 yard pass.
Killibrew goes out injured on the next play. Norton and Kelson are already out with injuries.
Ok St punts. We’ll start from our own 1.
Akina looks like Warren Oates in ‘The Wild Bunch.’
Fumble the snap on first down. Our receivers cannot get open. Ok St repeatedly gets pressure with 4 guys.
Robinson with a career high 360 yards. He averaged about 190 yds a game coming in.
Ok St going for it on 4th and 3 by running a reverse. Wow. Houston makes a good play along with Beasley.
Charles with another great run for a touchdown. His 3rd carry of the second half.
Ok St over 500 yards in offense now.
Deon Beasley is still playing hard. Shows Killibrew how to fight through a block.
We’ll have to go 99.
Charles breaks a 75 yarder for a td. Pretty sure he went north/south.
12-154 for Charles.
Killibrew embarrasses himself yet again on containment.
Gundy trying his best to choke this one away.
Beasley is having the best game of his career.
Oh shit. Deep pass to Shipley to the 1!
Two runs get nothing.
Tie game, bitches.
Buffoonish Gundy has to use his 2nd time out on the extra point.
Have we stopped a screen all year?
Houston makes two straight plays. We have some talented sophomores on defense.
Oh fuck! He shanks the 32 yard field goal!
Boone Pickens gets out his checkbook.
Ok St fan can’t figure out whether to do the horns down or the Ok St hand signal. Ends up signing ‘I’m a general studies major.’
If we win this game, we’re going to the BCS.
Shipley drops a ball, and then we false start. Do we want to win this or not?
Colt does.
Ryan Bailey has a chance to be the hero. This celebration will be wild.
Yessssssssssss!
The crowd is stunned. Mack looks like he just woke up.
What an incredible fucking win. The team earned this win. Down by 21 points twice, but they didn’t quit. Springboard win for this team.
We scored 24 points in the 4th quarter. Ok St scored 7 in the second half.
Two straight wins that started (almost by accident) when we got Charles the ball. Charles carried the ball one time in the 3rd quarter. His first 3 carries in the 4th quarter resulted in 2 touchdowns. He carried it 7 times for 125 yards in the 4th.
November 3, 2007 at 11:37 am
So it took them a minute and a half to get the ball all the way to the Texas 32…
What the hell is with ABC and their lack of HD? This shit is fucking ridiculous.
November 3, 2007 at 11:38 am
The angle Killebrew and Bobino just took on that option pitch made me laugh out loud. God Bless America. They are going to run on this LBing group at will.
November 3, 2007 at 11:39 am
This game is going to get extremely ugly unless Norton and Muck play the rest of this game.
November 3, 2007 at 11:39 am
Shocking. Right down the field for a TD.
November 3, 2007 at 11:41 am
Sii: You guys will bitch about anything. At least they didn’t pick up a first down with EVERY play they ran.
November 3, 2007 at 11:42 am
There is not any possible way to justify playing any of the starting linebackers for even a single play. Pitiful.
November 3, 2007 at 11:42 am
We got fuckin’ bitch slapped …..I’m gonna need several fuck lions for this one
November 3, 2007 at 11:44 am
Well, Colt is off.
November 3, 2007 at 11:44 am
Yeah, just a tad.
November 3, 2007 at 11:44 am
what are you talking about.. hes 1-1 with 1 td
November 3, 2007 at 11:45 am
NICE PASSSSSSSS
November 3, 2007 at 11:45 am
I see Steve is a glass half full person.
November 3, 2007 at 11:45 am
Remember, we need to be hard on them to help them win.
That was a typical Greg Davis play. That would have gone for nothing but had a lot of downside.
Hope that helps coach.
November 3, 2007 at 11:48 am
I’m confused. Does booing help the team or hurt them?
November 3, 2007 at 11:48 am
I’m glad we’ve got Larry MacDuff here to help with special teams.
November 3, 2007 at 11:49 am
$50 says we are 3 & out
November 3, 2007 at 11:49 am
I sense a Fluff & Fold game coming for UT.
November 3, 2007 at 11:51 am
Kansas has put 69 on Nebraska with a quarter left to play. I think we had 6 at the same point last week.
KU hasn’t landed a four or five star recruit in three years. Good times.
November 3, 2007 at 11:52 am
We’ve struggled because of turnovers? Really, Mr. Announcer?
November 3, 2007 at 11:52 am
We are a completely gutless team…typical UT start they come out stick it up our asses and we attempt to return favor….why do we always seem lethargic every game…no passion
November 3, 2007 at 11:52 am
Dallas is down. Odds on Colt sustaining a concussion today are now 2 to 1.
November 3, 2007 at 11:53 am
You owe every contributor on this thread $50 dollars, TCT. I’ll take mine in drachma.
November 3, 2007 at 11:54 am
Colt is now even on the year for TD/INT.
November 3, 2007 at 11:54 am
I thought ABC was legally precluded from broadcasting anal rape.
November 3, 2007 at 11:55 am
Vince will bring us back.
November 3, 2007 at 11:55 am
Oh, my god. Did you see Derry run away from the Dez Bryant? Then Kill misses tackle too
November 3, 2007 at 11:56 am
Killebrew with the tackle thanks to Savage tripping over his own feet!
November 3, 2007 at 11:57 am
Killibrew credited with the ground’s tackle.
November 3, 2007 at 11:57 am
What’s the over/under for number of times Okie State punts?
November 3, 2007 at 11:57 am
I thought 3 & out with punt. I hate this.
And don’t worry about #40. He’ll get a personal foul late hit UR in about the next 3 minutes. Probably on a failed 3rdown conversion
November 3, 2007 at 11:58 am
Yay for missed tackles on the fucking quarterback.
November 3, 2007 at 11:58 am
How do we line up with all 3 LBs in the middle of the field, but never have anyone in the middle of the field to make a tackle.
November 3, 2007 at 12:01 pm
Reading this is making me physically ill. I’m praising the baby Jesus right now that this thing isn’t televised in Seattle.
November 3, 2007 at 12:04 pm
Our LBs might as well be a well spaced blocking sled.
November 3, 2007 at 12:04 pm
“You wouldn’t know this was the 116th ranked pass defense if this was the first time you’ve seen them play.” Greg Davis offenses have a way of inspiring these types of comments.
November 3, 2007 at 12:05 pm
Holy crap. Is Tony Hills the new Killebrew?
November 3, 2007 at 12:05 pm
Hills with another stupid personal foul penalty. Allsome.
November 3, 2007 at 12:06 pm
At 14=0, this game is already out of reach.
November 3, 2007 at 12:06 pm
So basically the refs can wait 1 hour to blow the play dead after forward progress is stopped allowing the Cowboy defense to take as many shots as they can but will throw the flag if a Horn tries to stop it.
November 3, 2007 at 12:07 pm
It took that ref 5 seconds to throw the flag for the block in the back.
November 3, 2007 at 12:09 pm
Mike Gundy apparently is a 40 year-old blind man.
November 3, 2007 at 12:09 pm
Kansas now has now put 76 on Nebraska.
Up by 45 points.
Be glad that the Missouri, Colorado, Kansas slate weren’t on our schedule this year - we’d go 5-7.
November 3, 2007 at 12:10 pm
We would get CRUSHED in a BCS game
November 3, 2007 at 12:11 pm
Now with Norton and Muck in we’ve got em at 3rd and long. And make a stop!
November 3, 2007 at 12:13 pm
We’re clearly not hard enough on the team. Bohls needs to write a real scathing review of this one.
November 3, 2007 at 12:15 pm
“We would get CRUSHED in a BCS game”
It’s a good news/bad news situation.
We won’t go to a BCS bowl, but I wager we’ll get our assed kicked in a lower tier bowl that fewer people will see.
November 3, 2007 at 12:15 pm
Wow, Mack got angry at someone besides a ref.
November 3, 2007 at 12:18 pm
“Wow, Mack got angry at someone besides a ref.”
What did he do, clap extra hard? Do a sarcastic slow clap? Clap once and then make a “No more for you!” face?
November 3, 2007 at 12:18 pm
OSU really responded to Mack’s outburst.
November 3, 2007 at 12:18 pm
Doesn’t look like the defense was paying attention.
November 3, 2007 at 12:19 pm
Mack was screaming at the defense during the time out.. so they proceed to let OSU drive 3 more plays for an easy TD
November 3, 2007 at 12:20 pm
His anger should be directed at himself and his staff for allowing such complacent horseshit to manifest itself in the program for the last two years.
My guess is that he’ll blame the fans and media.
November 3, 2007 at 12:20 pm
Well, it was about time for another meltdown.
November 3, 2007 at 12:22 pm
Do we get to see any more tirades from Mack today, or is he tired out from that one and ready for a nap?
November 3, 2007 at 12:22 pm
If we managed to get blown out in all our games to finish the season, maybe that might actually be enough to bring about changes. Of course, I’m sure mack would lay the blame on the defense…
November 3, 2007 at 12:22 pm
when do yall think hornfans crashes?
November 3, 2007 at 12:23 pm
The annoucer doesn’t think we just junk our gameplan.
He looks stupid for thinking we have a gameplan.
November 3, 2007 at 12:24 pm
We haven’t had a legitimate game plan that took advantage of an opponent’s weakness since the Rose Bowl.
November 3, 2007 at 12:24 pm
So uh, what just happened?
November 3, 2007 at 12:24 pm
SAVED BY the offsides
November 3, 2007 at 12:28 pm
Ummm 4th and 1. Low-Key in. They might be suspecting run. We call timeout
November 3, 2007 at 12:28 pm
Can we put this “move to the I formation!!!” bullshit to rest? We’re fucking awful out of the I.
November 3, 2007 at 12:30 pm
I EFFING HATE I FORMATION NOW.
Where the hell is our spread offense?!
November 3, 2007 at 12:30 pm
I just pulled a head of iceberg lettuce out of my nose.
It’s slightly more appetizing than this UT season.
November 3, 2007 at 12:31 pm
Who has Tony Hills blocked (that is wearing an orange jersey)
November 3, 2007 at 12:31 pm
See what happens when we can actually block and get Charles in space?
November 3, 2007 at 12:32 pm
See what happens in the spread?
November 3, 2007 at 12:34 pm
Gotta love Okie state taunting. “Good job kicker, you can’t even do your one job right!”
November 3, 2007 at 12:34 pm
The mic is too close to a drunk kid.
November 3, 2007 at 12:34 pm
Kansas does what we fail to do: decisively beat a bad Nebraska team. 76-39?! Man, our season is a disappointment.
November 3, 2007 at 12:34 pm
replay the fan commentary on the out of bounds play picked up the side mike “way to go kicker, you idiot”
November 3, 2007 at 12:36 pm
“OkSt fans have the same hand signals as Tech fans. There’s a surprise.”
Score notwithstanding: “Get your Ls up”
November 3, 2007 at 12:37 pm
How long before our defense quits depending on OSU mistakes for a stop?
November 3, 2007 at 12:37 pm
Akina’s pass defense scheme is a fucking joke. How often this year have those deep crossing routes been wide open?
November 3, 2007 at 12:39 pm
Seriously, is this the most fundamentally unsound team we’ve had under Mack’s stewardship?
November 3, 2007 at 12:40 pm
I like OSU’s hurry up offense. They are in such a hurry, they forget to execute.
November 3, 2007 at 12:41 pm
maybe. just maybe
November 3, 2007 at 12:43 pm
Did they just fire a cannon at the announcement that the play was not reviewable?
November 3, 2007 at 12:43 pm
Gotta love Big XII refs. I demand a make-up call.
November 3, 2007 at 12:44 pm
Not enough arm on that.
And where’s Pittman?
November 3, 2007 at 12:45 pm
There’s the double move, but Colt sailed the pass too close to the sideline.
November 3, 2007 at 12:46 pm
Let’s see what we do here. Just came off a drive where we ran the fuck out of the ball with success.
My guess? We won’t run at all.
November 3, 2007 at 12:47 pm
For half time , Mack will be reading Bernstein Bears and serving milk and cookies. Then a round of paddy cake with Greg.
November 3, 2007 at 12:48 pm
Tyrone Willingham did not recruit better than Navy.
November 3, 2007 at 12:49 pm
That run from Colt just gave me wood.
November 3, 2007 at 12:50 pm
Great effort, Colt.
November 3, 2007 at 12:50 pm
Colt pulls off the scramble and after e goes out of bounds, over the PA they play Crazy Train.
Wicked.
November 3, 2007 at 12:50 pm
Finley an eligible receiver!
November 3, 2007 at 12:51 pm
We have a game.
Why?
Because we discovered that we have a TE.
November 3, 2007 at 12:51 pm
Just like Finley drew it up in my hallway.
November 3, 2007 at 12:51 pm
Finley touches the ball for the first time since the OU game, he gets a touchdown.
November 3, 2007 at 12:51 pm
Greg davis in bathroom. We call pass to 16. We score
November 3, 2007 at 12:51 pm
Tie this up before halftime and OSU’s psychology will be more fucked up than Ann Heche.
November 3, 2007 at 12:53 pm
Now you gotta wonder if it was actually good for us that OSU went up 21-0 so quickly. It seems the only way to light a fire under Greg’s ass so that he’ll actually move the offense is to give him a seemingly insurmountable deficit.
November 3, 2007 at 12:53 pm
Has Pittman been playing? I haven’t heard his name much in the last 2 games.
November 3, 2007 at 12:54 pm
Killebrew is laughable.
November 3, 2007 at 12:54 pm
Big 3rd and 5 here.
November 3, 2007 at 12:54 pm
Where the hell was the playside linebacker on that? Oh. Killebrew.
November 3, 2007 at 12:56 pm
Another big 3rd down. Let’s not man Bowman with a safety, please.
November 3, 2007 at 12:57 pm
Bobino. Goddamn it.
November 3, 2007 at 12:57 pm
Was that Bobino and the bad angle?
November 3, 2007 at 12:57 pm
27 yards. shouldve been loss.
vomit in my mouth.
November 3, 2007 at 12:57 pm
Your blog is about a minute ahead of ESPN gametracker.
That’s nice for those of us who can’t get what seems to be a fantastic broadcast.
November 3, 2007 at 12:57 pm
Yay Bobino getting flat out embarrassed as Savage reverses direction.
November 3, 2007 at 12:58 pm
Did 87 pick Bobino on that play?
November 3, 2007 at 12:58 pm
Eddie Jones just knocked the fuck out of that motherfucker.
November 3, 2007 at 12:58 pm
Drive extended because of Bobino overrunning the play.
November 3, 2007 at 12:59 pm
Play Action is a big part of the UT offense?
November 3, 2007 at 12:59 pm
props to jones for that HIT. Makes me almost feel good. Think I’ll clap. Seal-like
November 3, 2007 at 1:00 pm
Wow. What a crappy set of offensive plays.
November 3, 2007 at 1:00 pm
I love Colt, but he’s gotta be calmer making those throws under pressure. He was much better at it last year.
November 3, 2007 at 1:01 pm
We go back to conservative after the fumble.
November 3, 2007 at 1:02 pm
orakapo actually has good pursuit behind option. so happy
November 3, 2007 at 1:03 pm
Eddie Jones fucks people up.
November 3, 2007 at 1:03 pm
Does this announcer do any research?
November 3, 2007 at 1:03 pm
bobino makes play. forgets it might be fumble in order to celebrate. he may be gay.
November 3, 2007 at 1:03 pm
This linebacker crew is what has kept this defense sound! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
November 3, 2007 at 1:04 pm
Akina IS Carl Reese. Jesus.
November 3, 2007 at 1:05 pm
Akina’s D defends a blitz : Chizik defends the half-back pass.
November 3, 2007 at 1:05 pm
We just suck at 3rd and long
November 3, 2007 at 1:05 pm
edit: a screen
November 3, 2007 at 1:06 pm
Killebrew misses a tackle to allow the OSU 3rd string running back to pick up a first down.
November 3, 2007 at 1:06 pm
KILLEBREW WITH THE NICE WHIFF WHIFF WHIFF WHIFF WHIFF WHIFF ON THE 3RD STRINGER
November 3, 2007 at 1:06 pm
I’ll say this about Killebrew. He’s got really clean jerseys.
November 3, 2007 at 1:06 pm
Killebrew singlehandedly gives up the conversion in the flat as Toston swim moves him after the catch.
November 3, 2007 at 1:06 pm
fuck I really hate Kill
November 3, 2007 at 1:07 pm
Lokey is fucking owning inside.
November 3, 2007 at 1:07 pm
Kill isn’t totally worthless. He’s good at celebrating with other guys after they make a good play.
November 3, 2007 at 1:07 pm
Killebrew delivers his hardest hit…as he congratulates Lokey for a great TFL.
November 3, 2007 at 1:08 pm
no he delivers his hardest hits about 12 seconds after the whistle blows
November 3, 2007 at 1:09 pm
Killebrew vacates his gap and the counter runs right through it for the first down.
November 3, 2007 at 1:11 pm
Can we just buyout Derrick Johnson’s contract and pay him millions to teach our LB’s how to tackle?
November 3, 2007 at 1:12 pm
How bout a sack?
November 3, 2007 at 1:13 pm
ok the refs just royally fucked us
November 3, 2007 at 1:14 pm
I think it was the right call. There was time left.
November 3, 2007 at 1:15 pm
Akina is a horrendous DC.
We’re doing nothing to punish OSU for the wide splits and spread gap blocking. He just blindly blitz over and over.
November 3, 2007 at 1:15 pm
Let me guess. that was Killebrew’s cover?
November 3, 2007 at 1:15 pm
Fuck you Duane Akina. Mother FUCK YOU!
November 3, 2007 at 1:15 pm
Fuck all comfort hires.
November 3, 2007 at 1:17 pm
I wish this coaching staff was capable of feeling embarassment and humiliation.
November 3, 2007 at 1:22 pm
I feel better about this D since I am not actually watching the game and only listening to the Bachelor’s great analysis.
November 3, 2007 at 1:22 pm
The D stinks as much as you think they do.
November 3, 2007 at 1:22 pm
Navy is leading Notre Dame in the 4th Q.
Last time Navy beat ND was 1967.
November 3, 2007 at 1:27 pm
Screw nice. I want pissed off players. I want a coach that doesn’t clap you to death. I want a player fearing that coach might pull out his swinging axe-chain and lop off his head because of a bad play.
I want the Captain from Pan’s Labyrinth. Anybody know what offense that guy runs?
November 3, 2007 at 1:28 pm
Taking that back… I am not advocating firing Mack. That came from a dark place.
November 3, 2007 at 1:35 pm
That dude ran the Guernica offense.
November 3, 2007 at 1:38 pm
$5,000? That’s like 1/2 of the money it took to pay off Dez Bryant’s test taker.
November 3, 2007 at 1:38 pm
Watching LSU intercept Alabama at 5:29 left in the first with the score 3-3. Panning the celebrating LSU crowd in attendance, they show a girl with a wine bottle.
What’d she use to sneak that in: thigh high boots?!
November 3, 2007 at 1:39 pm
Mack was “very disappointed” with the team in the first half.
That may be the first negative thought he’s ever expressed as a Texas coach.
November 3, 2007 at 1:39 pm
1963 Staubach,
November 3, 2007 at 1:43 pm
Why does our middle screen sucks so bad? Early Doucet just went nine yards for LSU to score. Seriously. We must have an easy read that stands out like a pink highlighter.
November 3, 2007 at 1:44 pm
wow
November 3, 2007 at 1:44 pm
Ghost just got mugged.
November 3, 2007 at 1:45 pm
WTF?
November 3, 2007 at 1:47 pm
Why is scott derry still even on the team?
November 3, 2007 at 1:47 pm
The difference between Muck in the flat on Savage and Kill demonstrated there.
November 3, 2007 at 1:47 pm
Muckelroy. Maybe we should play him a lot
November 3, 2007 at 1:48 pm
That was Derry’s guy, wasn’t it?
November 3, 2007 at 1:48 pm
OSU stole our TE throwback play.
November 3, 2007 at 1:48 pm
Derry used there. Does he run a sub 5.0?
November 3, 2007 at 1:49 pm
even our backup LB’s (who should be playing every down) can’t cover that damn throwback TE pass. Is it that hard?
November 3, 2007 at 1:50 pm
I think Akina picks an eligible receiver before the game each week that we will allow to be open all day. He usually goes with the white guy.
November 3, 2007 at 1:51 pm
Apparently our defense doesn’t realize the TE is an eligible receiver.
November 3, 2007 at 1:51 pm
Neither does our offense.
Thank you, good night!!!
November 3, 2007 at 1:52 pm
So who wants to step up and say Greg Davis is our biggest problem now?
This Texas defense may actually be as bad as some of John Mackovic’s. We start the wrong guys and we can’t tackle for shit. Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln . . .
November 3, 2007 at 1:54 pm
Hopefully after today’s Arizona game, UCLA will be looking for a HC again.
November 3, 2007 at 1:56 pm
Yikes. Now Davis is pressing. Deep in our end we run a reverse?!
November 3, 2007 at 1:56 pm
Sean Sutton is on his 5th jack & coke.
November 3, 2007 at 2:00 pm
that makes 2 of us
November 3, 2007 at 2:00 pm
So now the officials can look at the replay and make calls after the play is over and dead? WTF!!!
November 3, 2007 at 2:01 pm
So a call that wasn’t even made by the refs can be reviewed, but a fumble can’t? WTF?
November 3, 2007 at 2:01 pm
What’s wrong with that? The refs are getting all the calls right. Good for them.
November 3, 2007 at 2:03 pm
Everytime Chris Collins makes a tackle, a 12 year-old loses her innocence.
November 3, 2007 at 2:03 pm
oh jesus cosby
November 3, 2007 at 2:04 pm
At least we can reply on our defense to… never mind.
November 3, 2007 at 2:05 pm
how long is this half time?
November 3, 2007 at 2:05 pm
You know it’s bad when Justin Moore is your MVP on the day.
November 3, 2007 at 2:06 pm
Games over. The question is… Will there be any lessons learned?
I doubt it.
November 3, 2007 at 2:07 pm
C’mon, Horns! Let’s beat the Seemingly Inebriated Westerners With Gross Encephalogigantism!
Dude, that mascot is just wrong.
November 3, 2007 at 2:08 pm
So far - our defense sucks and our QB has throw two bad picks.
Greg Davis still does not know how to call a game. It is like he has a spinner and just spins it like wheel of fortune
November 3, 2007 at 2:08 pm
I guess I didn’t realize that you can go back and review missed calls. Missed calls are part of the game whether or not they are the right call.
November 3, 2007 at 2:08 pm
On Monday I will be hanging out with my Cornhusker coworker in case anyone wants to talk football. “Yes, Okie State embarrassed us … oh look, here’s Jason! Jason, c’mon on over here! What’d you do this weekend?”
November 3, 2007 at 2:08 pm
Nice coverage
November 3, 2007 at 2:09 pm
Big Satan…so it is ok when they review the play where the okst. player fumbles before going out of bounds, actually see that he wasn’t out of bounds, and then decide after the fact the play isn’t reviewable, that’s ok? WTF?
If you’re going to get it right, get it right every fucking time, not when it’s convenient for the home team. Maybe they should review every play and look for holding by the offensive line that wasn’t called. Maybe they should look at every pass play to see if there was pass interference they missed.
November 3, 2007 at 2:09 pm
never thought I’d smile when one of our own gets hurt.. but…
November 3, 2007 at 2:10 pm
well, we just fucking suck
November 3, 2007 at 2:10 pm
The team has quit. There are still a few guys trying like Colt and JC but overall, this team is done.
November 3, 2007 at 2:11 pm
Longhorn Steve that is just being a %#@@!. You don’t smile at injuries
November 3, 2007 at 2:12 pm
If the referee blew the whistle on the play, believing that the player was out of bounds, the play has to be stopped. Period. The official’s error on the field of play changes whether or not the players will pursue the ball, react, etc. Regardless of whether the play was fucked up by them or not, consistently, that play can’t be reversed. But no ref did anything to stop play on the scrimmage call. They just went back and reviewed. It’s the right call. It’s consistent.
November 3, 2007 at 2:12 pm
i guess chiles won’t play; it would be bad for colt’s self-esteem
November 3, 2007 at 2:12 pm
This board needs a mad emoticon.
November 3, 2007 at 2:12 pm
It is now or never!!
November 3, 2007 at 2:13 pm
November 3, 2007 at 2:16 pm
These coverage sacks are brought to you by the 116th pass defense and the Letter F.
November 3, 2007 at 2:16 pm
We are a very poorly coached team, particularly on defense.
That side of the ball needs a complete overhaul.
The knives will be out for the staff. At least Mack’s reaction will be entertaining.
November 3, 2007 at 2:17 pm
If we have any talent on this team we need to play it
November 3, 2007 at 2:18 pm
mack clap mack clap mack clap mack clap
November 3, 2007 at 2:18 pm
“The knives will be out for the staff.”
But nothing will change. NOTHING. Mack is in over his head. He might even know that but he doesn’t know how to fix it.
November 3, 2007 at 2:19 pm
we need to make this stop
November 3, 2007 at 2:19 pm
anyone remember right after the WSU Holiday bowl?.. I was sure Davis was gone then, but alas, nothing happened… If you think something is gonna happen this year, you’re dreaming.
November 3, 2007 at 2:20 pm
“If we have any talent on this team we need to play it”
Or develop it
November 3, 2007 at 2:20 pm
Time to break open the beer
November 3, 2007 at 2:21 pm
And develop it (amen)
November 3, 2007 at 2:21 pm
My first change would still be Greg Davis
November 3, 2007 at 2:22 pm
Time? We just switched to rums and bourbons. because we had to shotgun beer out of misry
November 3, 2007 at 2:22 pm
Mack doesn’t have the balls to admit a mistake. He won’t admit to fucking up the DC hire and he sure as fuck isn’t going to let GD go. If you thought this past week’s press conference was a bitch fest, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
November 3, 2007 at 2:24 pm
Funny stufff
Mistake by Gundy
November 3, 2007 at 2:27 pm
So how does Mack blame this one on the media?
November 3, 2007 at 2:27 pm
Apparently when you are down 3 TDs in the 4th Quarter, we don’t hurry up the offense.
November 3, 2007 at 2:28 pm
OL cannot block
November 3, 2007 at 2:28 pm
Allright. Time for a show of hands. Who else would be happy if Mack stepped down after the season?
November 3, 2007 at 2:29 pm
Do they realize that they are down by 21?
November 3, 2007 at 2:29 pm
Defense needs to step up!!
November 3, 2007 at 2:31 pm
not mack, but just about everyone else
November 3, 2007 at 2:31 pm
“anyone remember right after the WSU Holiday bowl?.. I was sure Davis was gone then, but alas, nothing happened… If you think something is gonna happen this year, you’re dreaming.”
Mack went to bat for GD. I think he’d do it again.
As for the question about Mack stepping down…
My hand is in the air. I like the man. I don’t like the coach.
November 3, 2007 at 2:32 pm
I don’t think that Mack should or would step down at this point based on the results so far this season need to take a visit to reality. One bad season does not mean the end
November 3, 2007 at 2:32 pm
Another great day for Colt haters like myself. Our staff is too stupid to play Chiles with our first team offense. meursalt’s comment that putting in Chiles would hurt Colt’s self-esteem is both hilarious and true.
Anyone with any talent evaluation skills would know that playing Colt at QB under a Greg Davis offense is a dead-end street that leads to Alamo Bowls.
November 3, 2007 at 2:33 pm
whether you like the coach or not is not relavent
November 3, 2007 at 2:34 pm
We need Mack. Coordinators are ass. If Davis is Mack’s best friend he should be a man like Gundy and step down for Mack. I enjoy watching Davis and Akina ruin the talent Mack brings in.
November 3, 2007 at 2:35 pm
diehard, you do realize Chiles can’t throw the ball at all right? Why on earth would you hate Colt?
I could understand maybe wanting someone else to play QB, but Colt is the ONLY guy on the field that has ALWAYS been out there giving it his all. Hell, the guy will probably suffer some mental health consequences from all the fucking hits he’s had to take thanks to our shitty offensive line. He is far from the problem.
November 3, 2007 at 2:35 pm
Mark Bavaro
November 3, 2007 at 2:38 pm
The refs just fucked Navy over big time. They won’t let ND lose.
November 3, 2007 at 2:38 pm
Mack does need to can Greg Davis
November 3, 2007 at 2:39 pm
Fire me!!!
November 3, 2007 at 2:39 pm
If we bet blown out in the rest of our games this year, then maybe a 5-10% chance GD gets fired.
November 3, 2007 at 2:40 pm
99. do it.
November 3, 2007 at 2:41 pm
If we’re going to run a pass from our own 1 that has all receivers run 2 yard curls, why not just run the fucking ball?
November 3, 2007 at 2:42 pm
Charles.
November 3, 2007 at 2:42 pm
Charles just ran right through 2 defenders who looked like they didn’t even see him.
November 3, 2007 at 2:43 pm
we are in this game
November 3, 2007 at 2:43 pm
You guys can thank me for that call
November 3, 2007 at 2:44 pm
Hey, dat felt good.
November 3, 2007 at 2:44 pm
god dammit
November 3, 2007 at 2:44 pm
NAVY
November 3, 2007 at 2:45 pm
I don’t care about the defenses we are playing, Charles has literally and actually turned a corner. If he isn’t used against the next 3 Ds, it will be criminal.
November 3, 2007 at 2:45 pm
they are south bend aggies. they are locking arms and swaying and singing AND THEY LOST AND THEY SUCK. Croppie aggies
November 3, 2007 at 2:45 pm
apparently, our o-line is amazingly well conditioned. they thrive in the fourth quarter. ::holds up 4 fingers::
November 3, 2007 at 2:46 pm
can I jump back on the bandwagon?
November 3, 2007 at 2:47 pm
clip no flag. bobino whiffs
November 3, 2007 at 2:48 pm
Refs missed a pretty clear block in the back there some guy had on Palmer.
November 3, 2007 at 2:48 pm
Bobino is 5-10 225 and runs a 4.9. Tyson King is a better football player. Robinson looks like Charles running around him.
November 3, 2007 at 2:49 pm
DEFENSE
November 3, 2007 at 2:49 pm
Wow OSU is fucking stupid. They had Bowman lined up in the slot being covered by fucking Killebrew, and they call a timeout.
November 3, 2007 at 2:50 pm
I need nachos bel grande
November 3, 2007 at 2:52 pm
This play is the game girls!!
November 3, 2007 at 2:53 pm
I still stand by my contention that Mack is in over his head.
November 3, 2007 at 2:53 pm
Tom Hanks: … “earn this…… earn this”
November 3, 2007 at 2:56 pm
I have never loved a team I have hated more than this one.
I am officially nicknaming this team: My Wife.
November 3, 2007 at 2:57 pm
YES
November 3, 2007 at 2:58 pm
Mack is definitely in over his head.
November 3, 2007 at 2:59 pm
Why does our team have to dick around so much the first three quarters?
November 3, 2007 at 3:01 pm
We need a cheap ass turnover to stop them and win it.
November 3, 2007 at 3:01 pm
Why do we commit so many personal fouls?
November 3, 2007 at 3:01 pm
They’ve absolutely killed us with that screen all fucking game long. Hooray defensive adjustments.
November 3, 2007 at 3:01 pm
If we end up losing this game, I’m going to be more pissed off than if we just got blown out.
Ah. Scratch that. That’s the defense that has come to haunt my dreams.
November 3, 2007 at 3:01 pm
Yellow is pretty.
November 3, 2007 at 3:01 pm
That screen was so predictable. Akina always blitzes when he feels pressure. He thinks it “will make something happen.”
It usually does for the offense.
November 3, 2007 at 3:03 pm
Why isn’t Mack using a timeout? Is he really going to let them give us the ball back with under a minute left?
November 3, 2007 at 3:03 pm
Why aren’t we using our TOs?
Do coaches not realize that we get a stoppage of time after 1st downs?
November 3, 2007 at 3:04 pm
What a break.
November 3, 2007 at 3:04 pm
Thank you baby Jesus.
November 3, 2007 at 3:05 pm
WOW!
November 3, 2007 at 3:06 pm
How can Colt take that sack? How?
November 3, 2007 at 3:07 pm
Colt never thinks the play is over. I don’t mind taking a couple of sacks to take that away from his game.
November 3, 2007 at 3:07 pm
Hi!
November 3, 2007 at 3:08 pm
types kchorn after the Finley completion….
November 3, 2007 at 3:09 pm
Great time for a false start.
November 3, 2007 at 3:09 pm
False start. You have to be kidding me.
November 3, 2007 at 3:09 pm
If we win I quit
November 3, 2007 at 3:09 pm
I don’t type that fast. Just lucky.
November 3, 2007 at 3:10 pm
Vince Young converts for us.
November 3, 2007 at 3:10 pm
Gundy, you wanna see a man? Look no further than Colt F’n McCoy.
November 3, 2007 at 3:11 pm
Nail it Bailey. C’mon.
November 3, 2007 at 3:11 pm
if bailey misses this i am swearing off organized sports forever
November 3, 2007 at 3:11 pm
Yeah, this certainly is a great game for Colt haters.
November 3, 2007 at 3:11 pm
Done.
November 3, 2007 at 3:12 pm
This is one of the strangest college football seasons, and one of the strangest UT football teams I have ever seen in 30+ years of watching football.
November 3, 2007 at 3:12 pm
Unfucking believable. Get Mack a raise.
November 3, 2007 at 3:12
