I’d believe Killebrew’s time, I went to high school with him and he ran on the 4×100m in high school (at a large 5A Texas high school). Looked out of place, but the guy can jet!

I would have run a lot faster if it wasn’t for Greg Davis! His offense kept me down - way down! They hardly ever threw the ball my way. That’s ok, I’m gonna be All-Pro in 2 years.

Charles played it safe. He already ran a 4.38 at the NFL combine, the 4th fastest 40 time for a RB.

The reports I read about Killebrew’s time explained that he ran so quickly because there was a souffle in the oven at the 40 yard-line, and it was about to fall.

Now the Statesman has another story about the event. This one is from Suzanne Halliburton, and shockingly the times are all faster than reported anywhere else.

Andrew Kelson ran a 4.45 with a 41.4 inch vertical.

Billy Pittman ran a 4.55.

Nathan Jones ran a 4.4.

As for the Mad Dog haters, Jones, Lokey, Tony Hills and Foster have been working with Michael Johnson. Finley has been working with Floyd Heard.

Since the guy conceded he got it from a scout with a stopwatch, Killebrew’s actual time corrected for human error was probably about 4.75.

It’s not that hard to believe. They had Vince Young and Jamaal Charles at the finish line. Vince faked a handoff to Charles and Killebrew took off like a bat out of hell. Meanwhile, Vince passed him with the ball at about the 20 yard mark.
