Oklahoma State refuses to embrace socialism

height=At least when it comes to handing out awards at their football banquet.

They only gave out eight total awards. To children! Shit, Texas had nine guys win just the Frank Medina Rehabilitation Award sponsored by Pacificare.

Just wait until Bobby Reid’s mom finds out her son didn’t win anything.

Oklahoma State better step it up if they want to compete with the big time programs in the Big 12. Upgrading their facilities is one thing, but kids play for awards. No, not conference champion trophies. Team awards. Given to everyone.

They split some of them between two players so the total was 11, but yeah.

If I was Robert Pongetti, I would post a string of paranoid accusations of plagiarism written in a tone so aggressive and vitriolic that it would make your screen turn bright red and you would actually feel little drops of Interwebs spittle hit your face.

But, since I’m not a Tivo-slinging douchebag, I’ll just drop a friendly note informing you that I pulled the participation ribbon gag first, you f*cking thief.

I would have like to see what kind of award they could have made up for Chris Collins.

Hooray, UT player named to 3rd Team All-American list.

    A A S

“And the Texas Longhorns went without a first-team selection for the first time in eight years and only the second time since 1995.”

A loss against ASU would seal the deal as the worst season for Mack at UT.

“A loss against ASU would seal the deal as the worst season for Mack at UT.”

I think the worst thing that could happen would be a blow out win against ASU. Then Mack would think everything is ok, not make any changes, then lose 4 games next year

In USA, everyone on the team gets a ribbon. In Soviet Union, ribbon gets everyone on the team!

No, no, HJ — kids “play to a standard.” And they “earn the right.” Haven’t you been paying attention?

    *sigh*

That sounds like the kind of philosophy that would justify imprisoning or murdering a shitload of people. I like it.

Sure, pick on the o-aggies. Let the boys enjoy their awards, its all they will get this year. And the Collins stuff was just mean, he was 16 and his life is now ruined. Pick on Gundy if you want at least he’s 40.

I think Clap Brown is right, you guys have other things to worry about.
