UT demotes senior starters.

University of Tennessee that is.

After getting rolled by Cal last Friday, Tennessee coach Phil Fulmer has replaced two senior starters on his defense.

DT J.T. Mapu gets replaced by sophomore Dan Williams, and strong safety Jarrod Parrish lost his starting role to freshman Eric Berry.

“I want everybody to understand that the guys that played the best are the ones that are going to play,” Fulmer said.

Mack’s making the smart move for recruiting purposes. If he doesn’t let Palmer and Foster start as seniors, he knows that no unheralded, 2-star, pint-sized recruit will ever commit to Texas again.

And then the high school coaches of those pint-sized 2-stars might not like Mack. Oh, the horror!
