What, Mike Stoops worry?
Arizona coach Mike Stoops is going to be fired at the end of the year. That’s a given. But he’s not worried about it. He’s too busy coaching his team to a 2-6 record.
“I am pleased with our overall progress when you look at the big picture,” Stoops said. “The little picture doesn’t look so great, but there are a lot of positives in what our kids are doing.”

‘Look at the big picture!’
Stoops was 12-22 in his first three seasons at Arizona, but this was supposed to be his breakout year because Arizona returned 18 starters. Now they’ll have to win the rest of their games just to become bowl eligible. Not going to happen.
So long, Mike.

“So long, Mike.”
Don’t you mean, “[w]elcome back to being DC for OU and beating Mack Brown like a rented mule”?

Stoops is a fantastic coach. Probably the best of the Stoops clan.
This goes to show, if you’re a nothing program, hire someone that can recruit and build you up, like Mack Brown. Then, once you have talent, get Mike Stoops. It’s why I’m not terribly concerned about Tuberville at A&M.
